  1. I do wonder if he’s had enough of dealing with FSG and their lack of transfer activity and going after top targets.

They’re not the biggest spenders compared to other clubs around them. Perhaps Klopp has had enough working on a limited budget. Especially now with the likes of Salah, Roberson, Van Dijk etc moving into their 30s. You do feel Liverpool will need major investment once more in 2-3 years. Which perhaps FSG are not willing to back. Hence why he’s decided to call it a day at the end of the season rather than end of his contract which is the summer of 2026.

In terms of his next move. Would he favour Munich? Or he is too much in love with Dortmund still to go to Munich?

Cannot see him in France as the lack of competition may drive him mad.

He is the ideal fit for Real Madrid as they have such a young squad with some of the most talented youngsters in many many years. Can see him waiting until Ancelotti is gone.

    Must be favourite

With all his coaching staff leaving with him. It makes sense to bring Alonso and all his staff.

A sad day for English football.

Some people need to get a grip. Yeah, it's a bit cringe but so what? You ask any fan that's 40-50 years old and that game will be remembered as their favourite. I think it's great that the FPA are trying to bring back former players to the club and show them the respect they deserve. Some of these players are still working hard to support their families in different jobs as the money just wasn't around back then like it is now.

Also, why the sudden hatred for Tinnion? He has given a massive chunk of his life to City. He loves the club and prior to his current role spent more hours than anyone can imagine watching all the academy games and his dedication was second to none. Yeah, he may well have been promoted a bit above his station but that doesn't mean he deserves the vitriol some people are dishing out. Now people are targeting the fact his son was on the pitch. His son has special needs needs and they are literally inseparable, he would have absolutely loved that so who cares if he didn't play in the match?!

How many other clubs put on an event like we did Saturday for a cup round win 30 years ago against one of the worst Liverpool sides in its history? If it was a cup final, then I can understand it.

It’s not like we beat Bayern Munich with 2 goals in injury time to lift the Champions League.

There isn’t a hatred for Tinnion. But a big displeasure over his position he currently holds with the club without the relevant experience or knowledge to be in such a vital role.

He’s also responsible for the removal of one of the top managers we’ve had who has helped steady this ship from relegation without any real funding.

He has somewhat tarnished his legacy at the club due to events in the last couple of seasons. There is nothing wrong with pointing that out.

Hate to be pessimistic but I can’t see a game there that we will pick up 3 points.

Maybe Middlesbrough with their injuries but even then it would be very difficult.

Hopefuly I’ll be proved wrong 🤞🏻

Likewise. To be even more negative I can’t even see where we could nick a point. Possibly Boro and maybe Coventry.

Our record against Leeds is woeful.

Or they just don't want wages being spent on players who'll barely get on the pitch, experience is great, but its better when its spent on people who'll play

Not always. Experienced players set standards to the younger players. Something we never had under DH or LJ.

King was brought in for this number one reason in my view. It’s helped rid laziness and players who hide in changing rooms at the training ground.

  6. Zak has done well to get to the level he has and the hardwork and development under Pearson has come to fruition. I was one calling for him to be released and felt he was a league one player at best.

However, he has proved himself a championship defender in my book. But not one that will help us take us to the next level.

He is extremely casual at times and does have a mistake in him to lose the ball more than once in a game. Again, if we’re serious about challenging for the top 6. We would need an upgrade on Zak.

Well that’s a real bummer.  In my heart of hearts, I’d hoped LM would keep him around.  His exoerience, guidance of young players will be a big loss.

It will be. However I feel the club (JL and BT) see King as part of the Pearson setup.

I think we all know they would like all traces of Pearson removed.

  8. Manning will go nowhere anytime soon if things don’t go well.

BT and JL will do what they can to justify their position to remove NP and to hire LM. In this case, back him with money to make the signings in order to make it work… all sound familiar?

I’m not convinced by Manning as I’ve stated previously and do feel we will put ourselves in a position come the time we will need an experienced head to come in and steady the ship. Round the track we go ago.

Whatever happens come the end of the season. Fans should not forget what JL and BT have done and stated. Therefore should continue to be accountable for this seasons outcome.

I suspect it comes from a lack of strategy and ambition on the pitch. That’s a view those who spend their hard earned cash on the pitch are entitled to express. However much others try to shout them down.

Last night was great but actually it just highlights the problem for me. The first, second and third priority of the club should be premiership football. Yet we seem expected to consider a ‘good cup run’ every few years as reward enough.

It is hugely depressing that the Bristol City memories talked about are Tinnion against Liverpool or Don Gillies against Leeds from decades ago.

On what they claim to be their top objective the current regime has failed. Supporters are entitled to point that out.

That’s actually a very good point. Just shows we do not have any real history of success and makes us still look rather tinpot and underachievers.

Just as an aside - not sure if many people realise but Forest Green’s training ground is actually here in Chippenham. Quite a long way from Nailsworth! It’s part of a public facility - my son plays up there a lot, often sees the players and was thrilled to meet Matty Taylor recently, as well as Deeney. They’re always friendly so based on that and nothing else I hope they stay up!

Heard the same but thought that cannot be true. Up Stanley Park?
