  1. Funnily on Sky Sports news they did a topic of discussion of his sacking. It was highlighted fans were irritated by his bizarre interviews, amount of goals they’ve conceded without closing down opposition and the money spent on transfers with little improvement. Sound familiar?
  2. I honestly can’t see him getting a gig in League One. Think it will have to be league two, possibly even National League. A big fish in National League may not be a bad spot for Lee. Gives him the opportunity to rebuild his managerial career. Or build…as it’s been a poor 10 year career so far.
  3. Called it almost a year ago. Can see this happening now. He won’t get another football league job.
  4. Forest Green Rovers might be a shout for him
  5. Will call it now. If Pearson isn’t extended beyond 2024 and we carry on the same trajectory we are on. We will be relegated by the end of the 2024/2025 season.
  6. What I said. I think he will head off to Italy, Turkey or Greece and will rebuild his career from there.
  7. Growing more of the thought Pearsons contract will not be renewed and we will be going into the summer looking for a new manager. As some have said above. Lansdown doesn’t seem too appealed by experienced managers who know what they’re doing and will tell Steve some hidden truths. He likes the young yes man type. My way or the highway. Lansdown needs to sell up and go. Fed up of smaller clubs doing better than us. Then clubs who have dropped into massive shit in recent years (Sunderland, Ipswich etc) pull themselves together and progress. If it is case Pearson goes. I would look at Plymouths manager. However, knowing Lansdown he will just give the job to Jason Euell. Still wouldn’t rule out Lee Johnson either knowing SL. If that was to ever happen. I’d be done with City for good.
  8. Keeping an eye on the game from Las Vegas. Think I better go back to bed!
  9. I can just see David Brent saying this
  10. Am of the mindset Bell needs a spell in league one. His overall decision making has been poor at times.
  11. Unless you’re top of the food chain. You’re always going to lose your best players to bigger teams. I genuinely never understand how there are still a lot of football fans who don’t understand this. It’s not even just about the club. The players heads will have turned also. Bar a couple of players that were part of our academy. How many players did Johnson actually work to improve on to then have a big sell on? I can only think of Webster and Brownhill top of my head. Where did the rest go? Either released or cheap transfer details to lower league sides or overseas. Lee Johnson was a failed experiment. 10 years in football management with a Johnstones paint trophy to his name. Doesn’t look great does it.
  12. I don’t think Newcastle will get in there. Believe now that they have European football the fixtures will sap their energy. I think Chelsea will grab 4th.
  13. Thanks @Davefevs funnily enough was going to respond with yourself tagged to provide such data ? Therefore my point is valid and truthful. Just have to look at the player turnover during Johnson’s time.
  14. Contract signed. Imagine he will be starting tonight
  15. Would expect nothing less from Pep. Always looking for that bit more. Great man management
  16. I’ll add on top also. What gave merit for Johnson to take on the role at a Championship club during that point at Barnsley. When he had yet to achieve anything. Wold any other Championship club at that point hired Lee Johnson? I do believe the answer to that question is no.
  17. Can’t get over that second goal. Didn’t even look where he was aiming.
  18. I think it’s the current age group of boys who grew up idolising likes of Zidane, Beckham,Ronaldo, R Carlos, C. Ronaldo, Kaka, Ramos, Ozil etc. New era of Galácticos
  19. He won’t. Haaland wants to do it at all the top clubs in Europe. This has been spoken about by his family and close friends. He wants to prove he’s the best in every big league in Europe.
  20. As I was saying… Built different
  21. He will go to Real Madrid in 3-4 years time. That’s his dream club. Real Madrid will have the best team in the world within a few years. Front 3 of Mbappe, Haaland and Vinicius Jr. With a midfield of Valverde, Bellingham and Camavinga. Dear lord, that’s a tasty side.
  22. Will go on to be the deadliest striker in football history in my opinion. Just a complete unit who has it all.
  23. They never were a top team. Just an overinflated ego.
  24. Bottom line for me is he was given the key to the kingdom with strong financial backing like we’ve never seen before at City. Just to be a mid-table team that had no football philosophy in play that Johnson always spoke about.
