A lot of fans mention that rovers were dominant in that era but looking at stats we beat them more than they beat us in the 90's. From what i can see we had a spell of four seasons without beating them between 87 and 91. Were they finishing higher in the league tbetween 80's and 90's (other than 90 and 91) ?

Well they are on their way down again and they have nothing to look forward to. It baffles me though how clubs like Scunthorpe, Burton and Yeovil can get to the championship but rovers can't. Even since their last time in the second tier there has been Walsall, Grimsby, Colchester, Southend, Crewe etc.
