I think Pearson really likes him but his expectations of what he could and should be doing are high and is disappointed when he doesn't meet those expectations, hence the criticism.
Spot on.

How many games and how many goals ?

Absolutely love that from Benik - a class act. I’m so pleased he feels that way for us as it’s so clear to see that the feeling is mutual unconditionally. I would have him back in a heartbeat over Martin and Wells.

His lack of celebration had nothing to do with ‘respect’ to an old team he was on loan to for a season, more to do with the support he got from 99% of city fans & the entire club with everything that he went through whilst here.
Exactly

2 games at home
4 goals conceded
2 penalties - no where near them
2 crosses (1 a corner) - 2 goals conceded
Not throw one in but….

Max did ok but he is as bad as Fielding with the ball at his feet.
Mate, he really isn’t.

Tell you what. Ten men City will do well to get anything out of this game against the 14 men of QPR.
-
Utter, utter bemusement. Andy King - What a penis.
-
Refs had a proper Weston super mare there. When you take in to account the stone waller on Alex Scott for an almost identical challenge - you either give both of them, or neither. I hate the inconsistency with the refereeing at this level.
-
Looks like 3-5-2 still to me.
Tanner and COD WBs. With Vyner Pring and Kalas as the 3.
James and King the double pivot with Scott in the 10.
Weimann and Semenyo upfront.
Exciting.

He’s finished here, unfortunately, as I thought he could’ve been real good for us. Wasn’t to be.

I don't suppose anyone has any old XL Football shirts knocking around they don't want anymore? Happy to cover postage etc
Football League preferably.. Me and some friends are playing the Soccer Saturday Drinking Game on boxing day and need to get each other a top to wear.
Will you be drinking lager by any chance?

Scott and O’dowda at wing back is laughable. I genuinely hope this works out and we put in a good performance and a get a win because if we don’t bugger me you’d have to question Pearson and the logic of this lineup..
Agreed. I’m baffled. Hope we’re eating humble pie at full time mate but can’t see it

Been staring at it for 5 mins straight and I THINK it’s :
Bentley
Vyner Kalas Baker
Scott Bakinson Williams O’dowda
Weimann Martin Benarous

If he can gain the confidence to take players on instead of checking back all the time there's a very useful player in there
Completely agree.

Only 10 players there mate.
What will O’Dowda contribute?
Bit of natural width. Something you don’t really get with a CM stuck out there. You can’t expect a player to find form by not playing them. Give him a few games imo, let’s see what a fully fit COD can do this season before fully writing him off.

OK, just got in from the game and my immediate thoughts.
City looked too ponderous in their build up play on the right side.
Possibly because if the weather, the ref let play continue when others may have stopped the game for an infringement.
During that down pour in the 2nd half I feared the Ref would abandon the game.
Must watch the goals on TV later as on the bus coming home, all the P'boro' fans assured me there was a definite handball involved in City's winner.
There really wasn’t. -
Excellent player.

Martin again? The guy is burnt out.
I would’ve questioned it too had Wells been fit, but with Semenyo also out, what other option do we really have? Weimann isn’t a lone striker .

why
Because Martin needs a rest, it is clear to see . The chance he missed against Millwall when he failed to even get a shot away when clean through tells you all you need to know.

According to their twitter account. Seems a bit odd unless he thinks he needs a new challenge or something. It all seems amicable enough though.
Going to Cardiff to replace McCarthy isn’t he?

If Wells is fit and Martin starts I will definitely moan about it.
The Pearson effect - is it happening?

I think he knows his strongest 11. It’s just getting them all fit at the same time to play together.
