Hes one of those hot head managers if it dosen't go his way he blows his top so watch out next season!
somw of you older City fans will know that's there's been quite a few players that him moved either way along the M4 so it would make sense if you had one or two who would benefit from league 2 football rather than underneath 23 soulless games
Hopefully he will now be finished in football and his past is quite surprising considering he played the game himself and would know that it's the fans who will suffer
I think you're right we've sailed close to being wound up many times and for me it all stared in the Lou Macari and has continued on & off ever since with a few good years in between. We hit rock bottom in the early 80's when you had your own problems but that wasn't down to anything financial or owner related.
Things could definitely go either way for us over th next couple of weeks and no idea which way that will be but one thing for sure is things are never quiet at this football club!
As far as I'm aware JJW is there but a few of the remaining pros including Pittman refused to train until they got paid.
we're hearing the deal for the Australian businessman to takeover is close to being concluded but has hit legal problems regarding Powers reluctance to being open about various debts etc.
Unless this is sorted out within the next couple of days you would imagine our opening game/s will have to be called off or even worse we get kicked out of the league.
As far as I'm aware we're supposed to be playing a friendly at Supermarine tonight but then again who really knows!
Derby matches are what make football atmospheric and I'm sure you would rather play Swindon where there is a bit of an edge over say a MK Dons or Wigan
Not disputing what you say as there's idiots at every club but all I ever hear is begrudging admiration for your stadium, training facilities and wealthy owner.
Great story and memories regarding your Grandad and so nice that he was able to see us in the premiership.
i don't get the hatred thing just because we're 40 miles apart and for me it's quite the opposite as I've had many good times in Bristol but sadly the society we live in if I was wearing a STFC shirt I would probably get my head punched in.
Well said and some of us actually decent human beings who weren't just born into a different football club but some of the abuse received is beyond belief but that's football fans for you.
We're not all bad and there are some decent fans who enjoy the friendly banter without being hostile.
I'm Swindon through and through for the last 45 years so won't desert them now and watching many Derby games between us over that period I can't help be envious on what you've now got in place and really miss the atmosphere of playing City and who knows if we're ever play you again the way things are going.
Exactly that, Pittman & Payne are refusing to train with the club as they haven't been paid for ages and which leaves us with a couple 3-4 outfield players, your ex goalkeeper, youth players and a couple of trialist
We don't know as the EFL may look at it and say it's down to Power and not the actual football club.
Hearing the take over could happen tomorrow but Power is doing everything to stall things.
