It was not a trick question, just one item of trivia I picked up in my early years.

The goal(s) to which I referred were, indeed, scored in the first ever (1923) FA Cup Final at Wembley, known as you say as The White Horse (Billie) final, although, like you, I have no idea who scored the first goal at the new Wembley.

Re. animals, however, if you can recall 'Pickles', you must surely remember this famous lion.

I had to check that it was indeed Lonnie Donegan, memories ?

Good point - how much did we spaff on Steve Torpey in ‘97? Pretty sure it was more than the Taylor fee and that proved to be a poor signing (granted the injury he picked up on his debut at Grimsby didn’t exactly help).

400k for Torpey if I remember rightly

Bad news. I remember on many occasions  visiting the zoo in my younger years. I have fond memories of the zoo. When I was a kid the best ones for me were the seal feeding that usually occurred about 3.00pm. I also remember the two elephants that were there in the late 60,s and early 70,s. One was an African elephant and one was an Indian elephant, one had bigger ears than than the other and apparently this is the way you could tell by their origin.

There was also an amusing story in the media some years back now where the bloke taking money for parking external to the zoo didn’t actually work for the zoo or the council. The zoo thought he was collecting money for the council and the council thought he was collecting money for the zoo. He must of made thousands over the years.

The elephants were called Wendy and Christina

Am I the only one who finds having over 2000 pages dedicated to that lot embarrassing? They are not, and haven't really been our rivals for years. The little childish comments and inuedos put us on a par with them to a certain degree

Yes you are the only one, **** 'em

Personally I think the season should be voided -no promotion or relegation.

However, this may be a bit unfair on Leeds so I would like to see Ted Rodgers come back and show them what they could have won- you know - pictures of travelling to Arsenal, Liverpool etc along with untold riches and then present Bielsa with Dusty Bin. It was an extremely popular method of settling a competition funnily enough on TV the last time Leeds were in top flight.

    Or Jim Bowen

That idea is a load of bollocks, the removal of relegation!

Incidentally, read stories today that there are six sides who have or are known to have problems with neutral venues- this is the bottom six.

All I can add on that, the PL majority voting regulations stipulate 14/20 needed to carry a motion, implement a rule/rule change.

If 14 do and 6 don't, they're in breach surely- 3 of them would go down certainly... could always send all six down and send the top six up if they don't like it. :whistle2:

    Bottom 7 and top 7 ?

I'm BS30 too Seneca, still a fair bit of gas about so I gave them that one, even though very few probably go and literally ALL the kids seem to be in our red.

    This better?
