Honestly - SL is so bloody rich that the 200 mil or so he has spent is NOTHING to him or his family. Consistently in the top 1000 of the worlds richest individuals, SL has spent roughly 1% of his entire wealth over the last 20+ years. 1% And for that he now OWNS the stadium, land, housing, offices and stadium rights of the entire AG footprint AND all the AV land - which is being parcelled up for sale as a growing estate. He will sell and get what - 120 mil back ? I'd wager he keeps a significant % of AV land, plus a small holding % in BS @Kid in the Riot knows more than most - he'd know the selling package, plus what's NOT included. I'd honestly doubt if SL will lose much of the money he spent over the journey. The losers are the fans - we have no ground or say in the running of City, and have watched SL royally screw up time and time again, with no ability to have any input to the running of BCFC. Lansdown will leave with no legacy, (that he didn't write himself on the side of the stadium) and not much goodwill. It could have been so different if SL had any humility. He doesn't. So here we are, with an owner nobody likes or admires, in a stadium that isn't ours, looking back on 20+ years of mediocrity. SL could have taken us to the Prem any time he wanted, but that means giving up absolute power over his toy. As the man said, 'my money my club' I say - you had the opportunity to have it all, and were found wanting.

So to be 100% clear. We replaced a couple of very competent CEO's ultimately with Brian 'I can't spell' Tinnion. Nigel Pearson's successor was chosen by a bloke who knows nothing about football (Jon L), a bloke who watches videos of blokes playing sport for a living (Sean G) and a confirmed fraud and snake (B.T.) This ladies and Gentlemen, is why we cannot have nice things.

After the comments by Nahki and Kai on the commentary, (which, lets be honest, were spot on) - you wonder where the dressing room is at? You wouldn't get that kind of commentary from current players unless they felt safe in saying them. Pretty blunt from 2 very senior players. It honestly feels like the dressing room has turned - and Manning knows it. Lansdown will 100% double down with more money for players in January - he cannot accept he has made probably the biggest mistake of his tenure. If we get dicked at home on the weekend, the crowd are highly likely to vent their feelings - all that anger about Nige being sacrificed for Lansdowns ego has to come out - Manning way well walk. He doesn't look like he wants to be here anymore.

@Silvio Dante This why I started a thread. This is developing into a worthwhile thread. Too often it gets forgotten that some of these players are little more than boys, and to underestimate the role Nige played in their development as footballer and person should not be underestimated IMHO

Some of our players were completely transformed by Nige - the social media stuff in praise of Nigel after he was sacked said it all - pretty unanimous from past and present players. I wonder if with Liam, they feel cheated, robbed of an ethos and project they all committed and bought into? Certainly Conway looks devastated, Vyner has regressed, and the whole team look.......disinterested. When Nige came in, he set a bar - you reached that bar, you were 'on the bus'. Nige always left the door open for players - you do this, and as far as I am concerned, the slate is clear. Most bought in. We saw this many times. The ones that didn't - well they were moved on - but the point remains - they were given a chance to redeem, and be a part of something potentially special. They 100% believed in Nigel Pearson, his work ethic, his standards and we saw it on the pitch. Sure, it was a lot of 3 steps forward, 5 steps back - but overall, things were gradually improving, and with a couple more players in pre-season, this squad could have gone places. So now you have men who had committed the last 3 years of their working lives to the vision and standards of one man - who, for reasons we all know, has been discarded in an incredibly disrespectful way. And in comes his replacement - and he proceeds to tell them that all they worked for over the last 3 years no longer matters, and it's his way now. And that's fine. It's Liams team now, his rules. But I suspect very strongly, that they are still NIGELS players, and until this disparity is corrected, then this will be a long hard season. It's a perfect storm of disgruntled players, inexperienced coaches, non-existent upper management, and a culture, once again, of zero accountability and nepotism - things Nigel worked so very very hard to change. If we lose another 3 or 4 in the next 5, then this current stagnation could very well turn into a genuine freefall.

Watched a stream - every time it cut to the crowd all I could see were yawns, frowns and looks of utter boredom. A season of this and ticket sales next year won't be great. In all honestly we'd probably sell more if we went down. At least we'd win a few more in L1 The game, even with 3 goals, hitting the woodwork etc was a horrible watch.
