Fair play to Liverpool, beating Chelsea 4-3

Chelsea had only conceded from corners twice before tonight this season, but conceded three times from corners tonight

I wonder who Emma Hayes will be blaming tonight, 😁

Tis a WSL tradegy. Shame the Qataris benefit.

  2. Crystal Palace effectively promoted to WSL. They did announce project to achieve such one year ago (recruited our general manager as part of that process). Will be interesting to see how they fare. Assuming Leicester promotion, WSL will be entirely Premier League affiliated. Meanwhile minnows Lewes & Watford relegated from Championship replaced by Newcastle and Portsmouth. Will a much tougher league than 2 season ago. Will need a big reset by City to compete.

It definitely wouldn't be Loftus Road. I am really surprised that the SAG haven't reduced their capacity still further when you have such crippling restricted leg room, can't see the touchline in the upper tier, have seats behind pillars and a really narrow concourse. There are so many restrictions it would take an enormous effort just to get out in an emergency. A 5hit hole.

Wouldn't get a safety certificate if built today. Must have some mates on the council to get it approved in the first  place.

I wish somebody had told me about this singer years ago. I only just came about this music via a give away CD with Uncut magazine.

Definitely gonna be finding out more about this artist.

    Absolutely stunning music.

I'd recommend Cerulean Salt for earlier stuff.

Looking at the seating is there any difference to the layout to pre rebuild?

Principal difference is there is now 2 balconies, so 3 levels in all. The top level is roughly at the same as old. The mid balcony fits in as the lower level doesn't go back so far. I suspect this level would be prime viewing. Each balcony has extended sides up to the stage. Only tried the top layer, could only see half the stage.

That's a nonsense statement, Bath and Weston would be more than suitable

Weston was good enough for the U21s not that long ago

There is the problem, the crowds are visibly lower than at the start of the season

There was the names of "Man Utd" - "Arsenal" etc that appealed to the armchair fan then we had the likes of Mary Earps, who lets be honest single handedly put a few thousand on the gate when she was in town

We will lose all that with relegation and will go back to the real hardcore support that the club have

Not a nonsense statement. I wrote it in the context of attracting crowds. Women's football is primarily family focused. Twerton is poor spectator wise with limited parking. Weston was used for U21s watched by a handful of supporters. Retention of Ashton Gate would give us a chance of retaining some of the WSL support. Bath and Weston would not in my view.

I suspect there will be a strong lobby to stay at AG.

Respect your views but attendances seem way down on the early season games.

Club doesnt appear committed financially imo which seems at odds with the pr.

Attendances vary according to Lionesses appeal. Last match 6k compared favourably with Leicester  & Villa 4k earlier in season.

    Clevedon?

Train option available at Yate or WSM ?

Attendances seem to be tailing off.

Attendances are not tailing off. Have been pretty impressive for the WSL given our poor form. Women's football is growing. Will probably get relegated,  but we have a choice. Stay in the g.ame (play at Ashton Gate) or retreat into mediocrity by playing at the HPC or a local non league ground. Bath would be a pretty poor option and we haven't got any decent non league grounds in the area.

Anyone else saw this briefly thinking she signed a new five-year contract when in fact she's just been at the club for five years?

My first impression was new signing to get us off the bottom, but sadly no.

  10. A feature of the modern game. Defenders are encouraged to pass it out regardless. In the past, we would have lauded any defender who just horses it ,regardless of its destination.
