Tinnion has probably had a promotion too far. It wasn't that long ago that he was viewed as a genius skillfully placing academy kids out on loan, monitoring their progress and feeding back information when they might advance to the 1st team squad. Funny how things change.

Chris Martin could well end up top scorer in L1.

I'm guessing adidas's line of Paul Pogba branded boots will be heavily discounted as of now.
Or a free testosterone shot with every pair bought.

If he was still here he'd be in the Sam Bell role and would have scored nothing like the number of goals he's managed at Blackburn. I actually believe we do better than most clubs in passing on players as most do very little. Adelakun, now at Doncaster, is one who's hardly set the EFL alight.

Steve blessings be upon him Cotterill FGR 1up against Wrexham. They’ll give him the freedom of Nailsworth of he pulls an escape off.
Is that worth having?

The natural successor to Rodney Marsh, on both the pitch and QPR shirt and in the betting shop. Like Marsh, Best and and a scant few others of the era he was a reason for watching football being worth the admission price on his own. A real Entertainer sadly missed. RIP Stan and condolences to all family and friends.

His sentence was handed down in Belgium, maybe their system is slightly different.
Clearly. But to leave a player sentenced for assault on the street, indeed in another country still seems very odd. It's not like it's a white collar crime.

He started yes.
Appealing possibly.
It's still bizarre. I understand there is an appeal process but he's been sentenced so why is he not on remand awaiting appeal.

Couldn't get there today. Mark McAdam on Sky just said that Wednesday have scored against a Bristol City side that has dominated the early play. How many times have I heard that this season.

By do gooders I mean the people saying if they had boys clubs and education they could be turned around, give it a rest
I understand but those things do good, just not for everyone.

I don’t know if people saw the yellow card given to Pereira, one of the worst decisions I have ever seen, from a premier league ref. Embarrassing.
It's Craig Pawson so poor decisions are to be expected.

That’s fine, just seemed like you were and I’m fed up on the stabbing cases recently where it’s not the killer’s fault or the parents it’s the governments, until those closer to home start talking the blame and do gooders stop looking for excuses the better the world will be
I certainly agree that people need to take responsibility for their own actions but I'm not sure where 'do gooders', come into it. I would like to think that we would all 'do good' in the correct circumstances.

Must be a place for a father and son double act somewhere.

Still waiting for JL to communicate the appropriate tribute to Terry Cooper that he promised.

I know that both sides are without key players due to injury but you can see why both sides are struggling near the foot of the PL. The only winner from the 1st half was the ball as it racked up the air miles

Don't know that I should be surprised as that's QPRs 4th consecutive win at the Gate but this performance was a shocker. All talk of us getting in the play offs was always ridiculous but results like this show why. We struggle against any team that doesn't play open attractive football and our home form is not bloody good enough. Our house is made of straw not bricks.

Belay my last post as SPH is clearly Seb Palmer-Houlden. When I originally saw it I was thinking goalkeepers, not centre forwards.

Boyd is a big lad. A good 2/3 inches taller than SPH, who is down as 6 1
Thanks but I'm having a brain freeze. Who's SPH?

Starting to look as if height could be a factor in City future goalkeeper. Josey is listed as 6'3"" while new signing Isaac Finch is 6'4"at just 17. Not sure about the heights of Duncan and Boyd but I suspect the latter is under 6' like HWR so that may not bode well if we go by the adage that a good big'un is better than a good littl'un.

In order to make the play offs we'll need to finish above Preston, so it aint gonna happen.

Scores couldn't be going better. ok Preston winning but can see Boro finishing above them.
Boro might, we never do.

Far to early to tell but in the short time he was on the pitch he showed excellent judgement of the game situation, played the right passes and never gave the ball away. It hints that he might have a football brain and if so will quickly see him pass Mehmeti who really needs to improve his decision making.

Just to play devil’s advocate a little, there does not have to be contact if the ref deems it reckless. He went in studs showing, and it was as well he did not make contact. I am not entirely sure it would be overturned if it could be appealed.
Having said that, pretty sure the ref thought there was contact and their player made a meal of it.You make a good point about contact, or lack of it, but equally think you got it right on your last sentence that he thought there was contact, hence the booking.

Another frustrating defeat but it was an improvement on recent performances. We were comfortable for long periods of the game but it turned after Nahki Wells miss and Ipswich made their substitutions, with Burns the difference. .
