There were many of us, including me, that felt that he had taken us as far as he could and and it needed a younger manager with fresh ideas to push us on. And that will take more than 4 games. I've actually seen some signs that we are starting to play better in short periods. And just to add, I think the last 2 games we have been really unlucky - should have at least drawn with a top Southampton side away, bar a top strike. Today, we were undone by 2 player cock ups which is out of the managers hands. I'm quite positive about the future.

You are just bitter that Pearson has gone and you will never like anything that Manning says or does.

I thought the first half performance was excellent away at an ex Prem team. We should have been 2-0 up at ht if we had a decent striker. Yes second half was disappointing but Max didn't really have much to do apart from pick the ball out of the net from a quality strike. Definitely some positive signs.

If the OP is just pointing out that the 'jobs for the boys' policy of employing our ex players just because they are our ex players, then he is probably correct. We should be employing the best people to fill that particular role. I the case of Scotty Murray, he is clearly a 'fun' and popular member of staff who also does much charitable work. However, as he is probably mixing with the players a lot and influencing them, we don't really want that 'fun' to be too over the top and seen as the norm.
