I would say the right call was made by the referee for the rovers player sent off. I'd say they are historical rivals, yes they may not have challenged us for some time but if we ever played them you wouldn't just call it some other game. We're both aiming to be the #1 team in Bristol (hardly a debate at the moment) and aiming to be in the Premier league. That's a rivalry. Over the seasons our rivals on the pitch have been Cardiff and others but fans feelings about Cardiff won't be as strong as Rovers.

I wish him well at Sunderland, he helped us improve and was truly committed to this club. It didn't work out for one reason or another and he moved on. I thank him for everything he did for our club, put us in good standing, constantly improving positoon, that carabao Cup run beating Man Utd at Ashton Gate and giving Man City 2 really good games.
