Watching this, it makes you wonder what level of embarrassment you would accept in the Premier League.

I don't mind the idea of being promoted to the Prem, instantly relegated back to the Championship, then using the parachute payments to build towards a more sustainable crack at the Premier League.

However, I don't think I'd take that offer if it were as humiliating for us as it has been for this Sheffield United side, or Derby back in 2007/08.

So that's the question - how bad would we have to be in the Prem before you thought "Actually, I'd rather we just never got promoted"?

even if it was horrendous, and I fumed at the VAR decisions, and all the diving, and the rest of the circus... it would be worth it just to get that monkey off our back...

fed up being 'prem ready', etc

He's a Guardiola disciple which goes a long way in the eyes of the media. Whenever I've watched them this season they're shockingly naive.

breaking up their team and bringing in so many new players, I just think it's such a low chance for success, especially when you try and play like Man City...

This game is a reflection of the gulf between the Championship and the Premier League. Something needs to be done to level up financials.  otherwise we are going to get into a situation where every year the promoted teams come straight back down and the relegated teams go straight back up

removing FFP, or whatever it's called, is the only way so address this isn't it?

  4. The commentator just said xG for arsenal only 1.8, but 5 goals... ok... but before the first went in they had THREE enormous chances. Totally dominating with 80% possession, 16 shots. 7 on target. But only 1.8 xG

This stat has always been baffling to me...

Which makes the current speculation that Max will be at Mercedes for 2025 a bit mad, unless Newey goes there as well.

IF Horner is removed, Newey has a clause that means he can leave, I think, but what idiot what want to break up RB from inside?

Oh yeah, that wife-beating nut job Jos V

I don’t understand why it’s sadly down to set ups, that’s part of the formula, there are other races where all the cars are the same, but that’s not the point of F1.

5 years ago, very similar result in domination and times, different manufacturer and Drivers.  I didn’t hear too many moaning back then.

rather importantly, it wasn't lewis winning. when does Sergio beat max?

  7. F1 president now accused of trying to manipulate race results... F1 is a dumpster fire right now. zero interest in watching the processions, I mean races, but the documentary should be entertaining next year

    First album- brilliant

    second album - brilliant

    third album - decent

fourth album onwards - ear bleeding shit

100% agree. If they play a good chunk of songs from those first 3 albums I'll be up for it

  9. Tom Lockyer is very good in front of the camera, speaks well and sensibly, perhaps highlighted even more by being stood next to Jamie Redknapp haha.

At least if he has bad news on returning to playing, he could have a media career? His background makes a nice contrast to all the Man Utd and Liverpool players!

Max had a brilliant game tonight, great positioning and sweeping all night, distribution was great and commanded his box very well.

For some reason some people often say, “well he didn’t really do much and didn’t have many saves to make”. Being a good keeper is a lot more than making saves, and whilst he didn’t have to make any worldie saves this evening, he did everything else very very well. His improvement in all round game is one of the main reasons why our defence looks so strong imo.

there was one moment when he came out of his box and intercepted a forest through ball, and uber-casually played it to dickie, I think. looked so assured tonight.

  11. can't remember a game with so many shots smashed into the side netting!! 0 shots on target for us, 2 tame shots straight at max for them, but could easily have been a few goals...

  12. Bristol Beer Factory is my pre game choice, good beer, great food, and nice vibe with away fans, but tonight, crazy busy, forest fans everywhere, and 1 of 2 bars shut. Part of me wishes it was home fans only, but totally understand why it isn't!

Gardner Hickman pulled back a player from entering the box off the ball. It was well spotted by the ref.

The amount of supporters remarking upon the McCrorie incident as if he did nothing. He did. He pushed off a Forest player in the face. It was again well spotted by the referee. In fact he was somewhat fortunate to escape a yellow. That having been said I thought McCrorie was immense tonight.

thanks, knew there would be something, just missed by us haha! agree 100% on McCrorie, he's a player!

75-80% very good Ref. If he would have made it clear he was waiting for advantage it would have been better, but for the most part decent. There were several oddities though. McCrorie dribbling past 2 players but pulled back for a foul, Matty James getting booked for going for a header, few soft free kicks early and I thought he was going to be a Prem lover . Then there was McCrorie pulling back their player but not getting booked ?
Yes he was better than most, but not without fault.

that McCrorie one was ridiculous. he just ghosted past those players like a prime JET! haha
