I am abroad three or four months of the year and therefore I am unable to go to a lot of matches. However I always buy a season ticket (in the south stand). This does not make economic sense and it would be cheaper for me to pay on a match by match basis for the games that I can actually attend. However, by buying the season-ticket I feel I am supporting the club financially (in a very small way) and also spiritually. Yes, my seat is  empty for many matches but surely it is better for the club to have sold the season ticket. We rarely reach our 27,000 capacity so it is not as if me buying a season ticket is preventing others from going to the match.

I definitely think buying a membership and getting a fiver off the games you do attend would be better for you, I suppose there would then be a chance that your seat that was not used all the time could then be sold to someone else and the club might benefit with it being sold for pay on the day prices.

I know football is heartless, but on the radio they've just announced who is lined up by Palace to replace Roy "As he may be losing his job".

It can't just be a coincidence that the rumours of an imminent sacking and his sudden ill health are not linked.

Did you go to the last home game against Cardiff?

also did you go to the last way game by train?

Went to the home game, to be honest I didn't notice any trouble as such and only found out about the damage later that day. I stopped going to Cardiff away when they started trying to treat a group of 60 year old men like potential trouble makers and said I couldn't make my own arrangements so-called bubble matches. I'm old enough to remember when trouble was almost guaranteed over there, I can remember the police keeping us in the end after the game finished and receiving a hail of coins and bottles of urine from the home fans.

You know what I meant, problems as in outside the ground to warrant the kick of time

It's probably been a fair while, I am not sure why they think altering the time will make any difference, if it's the pub situation I would imagine if groups of people or individuals wanted to have a drink there are many ways of doing so without going to licensed premises. I agree kick-off times probably make little difference to the rsoles that come over to make trouble.

That has nothing to do with time though , wasn’t that a 1230 kick off aswell ,

At the risk of repeating myself(I am) the question was when WAS the last time there was trouble with Cardiff? not does it make any difference what time the game started.

I don’t create that many threads (believe it or not).

FWIW, I’m 53 years of age, and couldn’t give a 💩 about creating threads to get clicks / views.  Thats 100% not the reason I post nor create threads. It’s hardly like I’m being financially rewarded for each view is it?  So not really comparable to two YouTubers I’ve never heard of, nor likely to unless they do videos of football or do excel / tableau tips 😉

As per my reply to another poster earlier, I don’t do it for “like” emojis either, I do this because I like “talking” football.

Never heard of Scotty Rev up your engines Kilmer? you haven't lived .

Most people would have predicted a Saints win, a lot of City fans included.

    Not exactly a bold prediction.

I expect it was a pretty good night for the bookies.

I'm not sure how/why you see the post title as clickbait.

I saw it, thought it was the original thread, then immediately realised the title was a piss take (against himself more than anything).

Anyway, I'm sure you agree with the content - it was a near perfect peformance whereby Martin had no answers to manning unravelling his game plan. It was noticeable to me that in the late stages of the game, their players resorted to petty fouling and a couple of rugby tackles with a couple booked in added time.

They didn't like it up 'em.

Certainly agree 100% with the post, it was just the title that's all designed to attract clicks hence my description of clickbait, a lot do it on YouTube The Macmaster and Scotty Kilmer are two of the worst offenders, perhaps it's just Dave's way of posting titles, no harm done.

    Thoughts?

" Mbude" and "Memeti" have a lot still to learn but having players around them like Nakki Wales will help.

To spell one name wrong is unfortunate, to get both wrong is unforgivable .

Did you miss the pelters Dave took for posting a “Great Result but…” thread after the Boro win as he wanted to discuss the reasons for our backs to the wall second half performance?

This was Dave giving credit where it’s due with a bit of self-deprecation thrown in. Not sure I’d call it clickbait.

Nothing wrong with the post at all I just don't like clickbait headlines, the Macmaster does it on Youtube and I have had a go at him for it as well.

  11. Well, what were your thoughts? to say I'm excited would be an understatement, yes he played a few minutes but showed a cool football brain did not panic and showed glimpses to me that we have uncovered a diamond in the rough.

Is the Play-off final on the Saturday or Monday this year?

Want to make sure I book it off

Well you never know, I think we may be on the cusp of finally having a team we can all believe in, I watched us tonight and you know what we are not as far off being competitive as some on here would have you believe, we beat West Ham, narrowly lost to Nottingham Forrest over two legs, beat Boro away and beat a team deservedly that had forgotten what it was like to lose, come on don't you think the same? I'm so proud of us tonight.

Great result but what? Well, normally I give you a free pass but tonight you join the clickbateable society along with countless others that I follow on YouTube, please don't stoop to their level; it's not big and it's not clever.

Direct train service from Bristol. Or A36 running all the way there - or M4-A34.

We were going from Midland Road, I think we used to go out through Bath and then along country roads where if you got stuck behind a lorry there seemed to be nowhere to overtake. I'm sure there must have been an easier way, I unfortunately, wasn't driving.

Some interesting comments in their thread🤣

Just jealous they’re in the land of nowhere. Proper bore fest area of England.

I know, it's a horrible place to get to from here, I did some work down there once and had to go every day for a week, God it's 80 miles that feel like 800.
