  2. JB you helped to achieve a total of over 10,000 spectators so far this season, do you reckon they could go the whole season unbeaten? Oops sorry for the triple post!

  10. Season’s greetings to City fans everywhere. Here’s a little Christmas offering.....if you really want to follow an unbeatable team, please let me suggest Jersey Bulls, who have won every league and cup game they’ve played this season.... https://bulls.je COYR!
  11. EFL sticking by their decision: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49509774
  12. Like me many on here will know first-hand what happened at our Club in the 70’s and 80’s. Given the news of Bury and the situation at Bolton the following article is a stark reminder of how close BCFC was to ceasing to exist: https://soccersouls.com/bristol-city-and-ashton-gate-eight/
  13. SL invests a further £10m https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steve-lansdown-invests-extra-10m-2936355 The article comes across to me as it’s simply the done thing and nothing to get excited about, which seems a wee bit ungrateful in my book!

  15. Just arrived at the ground with a Stoke City fan mate from Western Australia.....we are heading to Poole after the game, it could be a long drive for one of us! COYR. City to win 2-0 with Pato getting the first in the 37th minute.
  16. Great result, composed performance, looked like a team today, managed the game very well and great vocal support. Well done to everyone on and off the pitch.
  17. I agree, while being delighted that we registered a 3-0 away win, it was a shocking game of football. Both teams were poor and if QPR had anything about them they would have scored at least once and probably more. We lacked any style or composure, too often lofting a hopeful ball into the air rather than playing much football on the ground. Suspect any neutral would likely have given up watching long before the final whistle! A night when the result was far better than the performance.
  18. I agree BR up to a point, in that LK, MP and NM all looked the part today.......in fact I thought everyone had a tidy game, without ever really looking like threatening/scoring. However, major concerns for me are the lack of goal scoring opportunities and where are our goals are going to come from, even when FD is back don’t think we have a strong forward presence. I am mystified why LJ has said he’s not looking to bring in a loan forward. Seems that he believes that neat, possession, in your own half gets you points.
  19. First half in a nutshell.......IMO very akin to last week v Bolton, in that City have had lots of possession and are playing neat passing stuff in their half but rarely create or threaten anything in the final third. Boro (who haven’t been threatened) have only had a couple of chances (the first gifted them due to sloppy defending) and have been clinical on both occasions (also reminiscent of last week’s game when Bolton scored with practically the first opening they had). All City players look OK, despite not creating any real threat, with our main chances coming from the right but again AW is isolated and we have started to play very hopeful, straight balls to him which are easy to defend. Boro are very comfortable and failing a miracle are leaving AG with three points.
  20. First half in a nutshell......City are the better team, look comfortable up to the half way line (Bolton seem content to let us play it out from the back) then we are lacking creativity/ideas/final ball. AW is isolated and generally being fed long, hopeful balls. Need to generate some creativity in midfield and get better support/supply to AW. Little so far of NE (or anyone else) wiping in dangerous crosses. Need to turn poccession into an end product.
  21. Good day H so here we are a week later and still there is nothing which elaborates upon ‘reflections of other interesting subject matters’......the anticipation mounts.
  22. Congratulations H on becoming a husband. Already intrigued by the promised, tantalising revelation of ‘equally interesting subject matters’ .
  23. LJ also mentioned the need to recruit leaders, ‘some steel’ and communicators.
  24. Delighted that we won but looks like 3-1 flattered us. Based on the highlights Brum created some excellent chances, if they’d been a bit more clinical / shown a little more composure, we could have easily conceded two or three tonight. Will need to defend much better at Boro.
  25. Nothing particular. His general analysis and reading of the ebb and flow of the game impressed me. Many ex-players struggle to articulate the essence of games however it seemed he was very much reflecting the realities of what was unfolding. As Old-Eastender mentioned he could be management material, that’s if he fancies all that goes with that!
