So today I got off the train at Parson Street Station and walked to the ground, on the way I looked up and saw Pattersons (the catering equipment supplier) in Winterstoke Road, at this exact moment I had a remarkable premonition. I had already sensed we would win 2-1 then, for some reason, at that very moment, I knew Pato would get the winner!

Unfortunately I am going tonight, which as some of you know, doesn't bode well. 12 games without a win, and in 6 games this calendar year, I've only seen 1 City goal. Let's hope it's 13th time lucky!
Hope you enjoyed the game and being 13th time lucky!

Yes, I was there too. Same thing happened - I was jumping up and down and no-one else moved around me. What made it better was I'd just moved up to Yorkshire for work and lived ten miles outside Leeds - really easy to get there.
Remember our win featuring as one of the first news headlines that night (when BBC national news was on at 9pm) and the national press the next day being full of great headlines - none of which I can now remember!

Who else was at Elland Road in 1974 for the FA cup replay? I was there as a teenager, when we scored I went totally berserk and nobody within 20 yards of me moved! City till I die and I nearly did back in 1974.

Can we transport the new Ashton Gate to Craven Cottage? What a great afternoon, so far, four different scorers and a clean sheet!
-
This is fast becoming a great day, let's keep a clean sheet too.

You beauty! Now lets keep a clean sheet this after.

Anyone at Ashton Gate got a drone by any chance?

1-0 down on the stroke of HT and need a big second half - yet again

Wouldn't it be great if we could reproduce the equivalent of the first half v Wednesday and the second half v Villa today?!
LJ's team selection is going to be fascinating.
The three games we've lost have all been by a single goal, so not sure where the heavy defeat predictions come from.
I think today we will win 2-1 with our winner coming from a PENALTY!

As always being a City fan means an evening full of all human emotions....hard to know where to start - losing after being 2-0 up, the penalty miss which would have made it 1-3, sending off, our defending / keeping or conceding so late.

The roller-coaster experience that is being a City fan....one minute playing ten men with a pen to make it 1-3 next minute it's 10 v 10 and 1-2

Now we need to manage the opening 20 minutes of the second half before Tammy claims his hat trick
Haven't managed the first bit, let's look forward to the second bit

Old enough to remember when we won 5-1 at Hillsborough. A John Galley brace or hat trick. One of the early signs that things were on the up under Alan Dicks.

With the full squad on the coach yesterday it be fascinating to see the starting line-up and who doesn't make the bench tonight.......
Our travelling fans please take a bow; getting to Sheffield on a Tuesday is commendable, make plenty of noise, enjoy the game and let's come away with nothing less than a point and ideally three.

I for one would have settled for a point at 3 pm today and certainly would have done so with 20 minutes to go! In the end we could have come away with all three points.
This performance/result shows us:
the character and belief we have in the squad
that our manager continues to impress, be bold and make critical substitutions
the questionable mentality of Tomlin (fourth yellow card today)
the difference between this and last season
our worrying ratio of converting possession/attempts into goals
the never-ending emotional roller-coaster that us City fans experience!

Half an hour to rescue this......look at what happened in the final few minutes of the first half at Fratton Park today, we can still turn all this possession into points!
We rescued a point and very nearly three, great character/belief among the squad, which unfortunately was not shared by all those posting on here this afty.

A point away to a team we do poorly against, having been two down, is to be celebrated. We dominated possession / attempts and showed great character to carry on believing and could have won it in the end, hitting the post in the 90th minute!

Time for us to get a third!

To be experiencing, on a Friday, the feelings that overcome me pre-match is a bit odd. However, tomorrow when normally I'd be going through all the pre-match roller-coaster emotions I can look forward to relaxing and reflecting on a fabulous performance and our 2-1 victory!
