Well we need more depth, and he's young and exciting so this seems a good move. I do wish we'd focus on a few more specialists though. Players who will lock down their position and not end up being used as cover all over the pitch when injuries happen.

Were. No danger of that now. On topic - started the season well defensively, although of course those standards dipped today with some wayward passing out the back throughout. And Dickie will of course be absent, but that was a horse-shit decision from the ref. I share the concerns regarding attack. If our only outlets are occasional link-ups down the left and long throws, this season will be another slog. I feel like we’ve sacrificed some creativity for more rigidity. I don’t know the solution to that though, hopefully someone at the club does.

Looks as though Wells joins his competition in the 9 position on the injured ranks. Bell will most likely serve in the central role.
