  1. Planet Earth … Duran Duran (bit of an obtuse connection there - think Jane Fonda…)
  2. Yes, I thought Nigel Tassell’s ‘The Bottom Corner’ was a good read, especially about grassroots football. Since reading it I keep meaning to go and watch a match at Bishop Sutton FC, but haven’t yet managed it.
  3. Pretty harrowing at times. Anyone who thinks Danny Wilson was a good manager should read it…
  4. Sympathy for the Devil … The Rolling Stones
  5. I really enjoyed David Peace’s book about Bill Shankly ‘Red or Dead’, but it’s not for the faint hearted. I’d suggest having a look at it in a bookshop to check whether you think it’s for you, as it is a mind-boggling book, incredibly repetitive, but quite hypnotic if you can get into it. You’ve been warned!
  6. I know, I meant on Plymouth tv…
  7. Coward of the County … Kenny Rogers
  8. Yeah, got it in 3 5 6 8. That said, I’ve had 18 losses in 148 games…

  10. Does anyone remember a pre-season match against the Gas at Twerton Park in ?1990 when Devon White had just been cautioned by police after an altercation with a neighbour outside his house, and the City end all sang the theme tune from Neighbours?…
  11. Listen to the Radio (Atmospherics) … Tom Robinson
  12. The Colours … The Men They Couldn’t Hang
  13. Blind Among The Flowers … The Tourists
  14. Matty Groves … Fairport Convention
  15. Working in a Coal Mine … Lee Dorsey
