  1. Linesmen today do nothing except offside. Whenever the ball goes out they look to see which way the ref gives it and then put their flag up.
  2. Weimann can only play up front. Here is energy and running are effective In midfield he charges around with no positional discipline. DaSilva seems simply to switch off for short periods as does Vyner. I think in the perfect world NP would not play both Scott and Massengo in centre mid because both are attack minded and lack positional discipline. We have the players we have. They do not have a winning instinct and have become too used to coming second. This will not improve as our season drags to a close with nothing really to play for.
  3. I think this summer is too early to sell. At the moment we would be selling potential. In 1 years time we could be selling the finished product for twice the price and enjoying a year of their service
  4. Could be linked to the fact he is a lazy money grabbing git too, who could never be bothered to move home to be closer to the team he played for. Wasn't aware that wasterism was now a mental health issue
  5. Amazing how almost from 1 week to another it clicked and he went from looking like a puppy just off the leash to a really dangerous striker
  6. Could have had 3 for a dive just before the first offense
  7. Back to the old days of fall over for a foul. At one point he told the Reading player to move a free kick back and pointed to the spot. The player moves about 1 metre and took the kick and the ref played on. Zero authority and zero respect from the players. Disgrace for this level
  8. Bentley should use this time out of the team by working on coming off the line for crosses and his distribution Not enough to be a shot stopper any more What could Bentley have done last night that Max didn't?
  9. These things make the season ticket worth buying
  10. I think more than 50% of Championshp clubs will fall foul of FFP rules in this period and so they will be relaxed
  11. Putting Covid, the Ashton affect and parachute payments aside, if BCFC cannot break even who can? We use our stadium each week (due to Rugby) rather every other week. We have great food and drink options at the ground so less revenue is lost to local pubs, we have a good summer concert program and uses for non football use of the buildings seems to be growing. Our attendance numbers are pretty good for this league and our season ticket prices are towards the highest in the Championship. I have the feeling that since Covid, clubs have become more realistic on wages and if the stupid parachute payment system could be changed the league should become viable for a well run club. My hope is that in summer we will cut our loses and move Palmer and Wells on and that SL will look ahead seeing a better picture. In this way perhaps we could challenge for the prem not by spending big but by keeping our price assets.
  12. Why can't we just have the name with a bit of clapping in between These clever little ditties are all right but unless we are going to put a lyrics sheet on each sheet very few will ever know the words.
  13. He wont start to play until he has 6 months to go on his contract and is trying to attract the next sucker. Tomlin all over again
  14. I think he loves playing with Scott, they really compliment each other Never a truer saying than Necessity is the mother of invention. Thin squad, poor results and some poorly performing senior pros. In come the kids and of course they take a while to get up to speed BUT a) I am looking forward to games more now than for ages b) At the beginning of the season somebody would have said that Pring, Massengo, Antoine and Scott would be our game winners you would have laughed c) I actually think we have a bright future d) This will encourage more young players to join our academy. Well done to SL for bring in and sticking with NP. Well done to Tinnion for creating kids with a great ability and attitude Well done the crowd for not getting on the players back when they could see 100% effort. Lets hear a bit more of "he's one of our own"
  15. I would think that it is not beyond the realms of possibility to work everyday with Bentley on coming of his line for crosses and having the confidence to play out from the back. At the same time working with O'Leary to improve his positioning and concentration. Clearly somebody has improved Antoine so why do the same with these 2
  16. For me Vyner hits great balls straight and hard into midfield players in space. This really shifts the play and creates momentum. If he could only concentrate for the for 90+ mins he will be great
  17. As a shot stopper I agree but I think Max comes off his line better and his distribution is in a different league. It also seems that communication is better at the back when Max plays
  18. Leaving aside the position in the the table, I was well entertained on Saturday and frequently out of my seat. Watching a combination of kids and oldies really giving 100% and providing some real excitement is also a huge step forward.
  19. Success breeds success, if a 14 year old see's lots of home grown talent in the first team he is far more likely to join us
  20. Hmmm I wonder if a £38 million loss has anything to do with the fact we can't make stellar signings and have to make do with what we have. Even if SL wanted to wedge open the vault, we would fall foul of FFP laws. So we have to soldier on, get rid of deadwood where the cost is not too high and survive for better times.
  21. Thought leaving out Atkins was a big mistake and the DaSilva section ??????
  22. Steve L has probably already asked for a valuation
  23. He is always better when he plays up front and not wide in midfield
  24. How many Championship clubs will show accounts that look sensible. It is the automate fantasy league
  25. Surely reality on wages in the Championship must come now
