They're listed as a council asset in the Bristol City Council Land and Building Assets (going back to the 2014 register) at https://www.data.gov.uk/dataset/a98345ad-7f4c-4f6e-882b-e631dc1cc046/bristol-city-council-land-and-building-assets

    UPRN: 342083
    Property ID: 8019
    Property Type: Public Conveniences
Property Name: Ashton Road - Former Public Conveniences
    Post Code: BS3
    Ward: Southville
    Tenure Type: Freehold
    Vacant: Vacant
    Asset Type: Land and Building(s)
    Building Size - GIA (M2): 66.8
    Site Area (Hectares): 0.0083
Purpose / Asset Category: Surplus / Non-operational / Under Review

Strange wording , hardly an asset when it could easily be put to its original purpose.
Just like everything in Bristol it’s gets left to deteriorate so eventually has to be flattened as it’s deemed too expensive to repair, exactly what Marvin’s allowing to happen to the Cumberland Basin.

They`ll sell it to BCC as it would be perfect for an underground station......................................

Alternatively they could reopen it as a public convenience, it’s a shame our mayor can entertain Pie in the sky projects yet can’t find money to run/ maintain the public toilets in Bristol.
As an older chap working outside most days I have to go to South Gloucester area to take a p*ss!

Question of sport to finish after 53 years, plus the two years as a pilot show

Viewing figures dropped from 4 million to one million in its attempt to bring in a younger audience

Not dissimilar to what they have done to local radio

Shame they don't dispose of some of the senior citizens at board level

I’m not sure you can blame senior citizen management for a lot of the BBC’s recent decisions, seems the younger managers always want to “ upgrade “ classic shows to attract a younger audience which usually has the complete opposite effect!

Look at what they’ve done at Radio 2 recently, that went well ……..

  4. From a guy who just likes watching City on a Saturday with his lad and grandson with a beer or two thrown in, never used a spreadsheet in my many years!

Me and many others have made the point on previous threads that you can study and work with all the data you can muster but if the squad you are working with aren’t talented enough or on board with how you work it’s just meaningless in the reality that’s a cold damp Ashton Gate.

Hoping for something to get us out of our seats today please.

Watched the game on Sky, not RobinsTV and have heard that Kal and Nahki were both being critical of what they were watching - what did they actually say?

No idea , I watched on Sky EFL with the Blackburn commentary, always find the opposition commentary much more professional than Robins TV( not a very high bar) .

Heard Nahki and Naismith were less than complimentary about the style of play which won’t go down well with the management et all

  6. Mehmeti actually put some useful crosses in last night( even used his left foot ), which if we were in league 1 with a Chris Martin type centre forward would be great , but we have no strikers who attack the ball.
As for Nahki, if he was as critical of the game play on the co commentary as has been mentioned I can’t imagine he’ll be back in the squad any time soon!

In what way am I naive about Nige’s sacking?

The point I’m making, like others, is that Manning would’ve done due diligence, and he’d have wanted to know several answers to why the job needed filling.  To think Manning would’ve just rocked up, listened to the spiel and taken it as told is naive thinking, isn’t it?

He’d want to know lots of stuff to inform his decision.

Probably how much bigger his salary would be?

That looks better than the one I had last night, tbh it was only £6.50.

Even Greggs let their franchise stores charge more than a normal outlet, as I found out when being super generous buying a colleague breakfast the other day!

  9. It’s a little like me as a spotty youth trying to ride me bike like Barry Sheene( look him up you young guns).
We watch the big boys and think we can replicate it, the trouble was I used to fall off and hurt myself !
