It will start straightaway if he comes here -
We’re all pleased when we win. But if the “mental wellbeing” of grown adults is impacted by the fortunes of a football team then that is pathetic.

I've never known a leader who focuses only on theory, concepts and soundbites who has been successful. What LM lacks is charisma, gravitas and authority and he can't be 'helped' with those. All the great managers and coaches possess those qualities to motivate and drive the squad.

Before we go any further, nobody cares about you finding some obscure website to watch the game or any technical difficulties you've got in doing so. So do us all a favour and stop boring us with the details. -
Imagine having as your claim to fame that you played for Bristol Rovers reserves

I bet Liverpool fans still pine for Shankly, or Man Utd fans for Busby or Ferguson. And Stoke fans for..um..Pulis. Only natural. Fortunately for Nige, he escaped before the ‘inherited a mess’ vibe started to wear thin.

Maybe a tad later when the other team score their 95th minute goal. -
The whole point of a forum is to invite opinion both for and against any point of discussion. I would suggest that OTIB is particularly good at it. But you will always get the extremist nutters just as there are in any walk of life.

There was a book about Bristol City fandom written a long time ago by Charlie Dickens. It was called Great Expectations. -
Well, he has to be mentioned every time there’s a thread like this. That player who TC drove down from Darlington who he paid £18,000 for. Alan Walsh Esq

I was hoping that the game at home to West Ham had put to bed the idea that atmosphere was anything to do with the design of the stadium, where fans are placed and whether the houses behind the Atyeo are bought or not. Just make noise!

“The Lansdowns are hugely popular figures here at Ashton Gate for all they’ve done for the club, with the development of first class facilities and stadium and for establishing them as a second tier outfit. Before they arrived the fans had been mostly served third and fourth rate football since 1980. Some of manager and administrative recruitment hasn’t always been as successful as they would have liked but the supporters are mature enough to know that the wisdom of hindsight is a wonderful thing. The mood is positive here in the red part of Bristol with the whole community looking forward to the next stage of club development, and with a bit of luck, promotion to the PL (promised land) with the godlike Lansdowns at the helm.”

So the question is: What time will the first 'ffs' be posted on here? I'm going for 14:09. Supplementary question: What time will the first 'get in' or 'Tooooommmmmyyyyy!' be posted? I'm going for 15:35. 1-1 and a famous replay victory at AG with Spurs away waiting for us in the next round. Possibly.

No idea why this this thread has turned into a BGS nostalgia trip but for some reason I’m finding it quite interesting. Keep it up lads. Were there any female teachers there?
