I don't want to get into a debate about this on a very, very sad day.

Some figures for you. The Royal family took £120m in tax last year. They brought in 1.9 billion into the economy. So you without them, people would be struggling a hell of a lot more. They cost each person £1.29 in tax a year.

    Let that sink in.

Tourists would visit those buildings regardless of whether a bunch of people born into blood money lived in them.

life of luxury is a bit off. Grew up through the war, then served. At 25 devoted her life to her country. Many, many people would do nothing of the sort.

I’m not a royalist but I respect her

Your completely entitled to your opinion mate and I know sometimes the way I put my points across on here are abit more extreme than I want them to be but the way people and the media go on it’s as if her life is worth more than say an old lady who passes away on a council estate .

I know these aren't you words but oh please. Cry me a bloody river.

Millions around the country seriously worrying about being able to heat their homes this winter and we're meant to give two shits about a billionaire with a few tens of millions wiped off his net worth? It's already an obscene and depraved amount of wealth for anyone to have.

It's not like he can even invest it all in City if he wanted due to FFP. I personally could not care less about the H&L share price.

    Spot on

Add as well that he wouldn’t of had to spend so much money if he had ran the club properly and not allowed us to make so much debt in the first place .

It’s great to see the amount of youth that has taken to following us home and away. It was not uncommon to be amongst a sea of grey and bald whilst watching city not too long ago, the club have done well in that regard.

Same at home games now , front of the dolman was packed with youth against Cardiff .

Over £800m of the football club's generated funds have so far been taken out to service the interest on the loans the Glazers took to purchase the club I believe. Old Trafford is creaking at the seams and their training ground has been left behind by a lot of Prem clubs. Add to that terrible mis-management of the football side of things and the modern focus on wealthier fans and you have the main reasons for their malcontent.

They put the club into debt to buy it.

    Thanks guys makes sense now

Doesn’t make it any less funny though seeing their downfall.

Lots of good performances all over the pitch , but mention for Dan Bentley who made 3 really excellent saves

    Each worth a goal

Nice to have a top class keeper

He made some great decisions after having nothing to do for most of the game . Fair play to him for keeping switched on constantly and hopefully no late bids come in .

Are we looking at a slightly disappointing crowd on our end? Haven’t seen the usual braggadocios tone from club social media

In the Cardiff press conference their manager said that they have sold their away allocation and we have sold over 20,000 in the home end so will probably end up 22k/23k . A lot of people on social media saying their not going due to the high ticket prices .

Maybe when we're down to the "hard-core" it's easier to get an atmosphere going than at big matches with several thousand occasional or first-time attenders, who may not know the songs?

    :dunno:

    Yeh very true

Hes just a little gas head was loud

  9. Honestly everyone was outstanding tonight and up until the red card I thought Sykes was brilliant . I never thought I’d say this but I thought vyner was great tonight and also Atkinson is turning into quite some player .

I don’t get this constant slagging of SL, all he’s done is constantly financially backed our managers, it’s not him who identifies and decides that this or that player is worth x amount of millions, he would be  backing NP now if it weren’t for FFP (not that I would have much faith in NP considering some of the players he has bought in) I would love to know peoples idea of a realistic alternative for SL

He allowed us to be in a poor ffp position by his poor running of the club and his poor choices when hiring people .

people always bang on about what we would be without him but just look at the clubs that have had way more success than us

swindon , Cardiff , Swansea , Brentford, Ipswich, Wigan , Bolton just to name a few and yes some are in the lower leagues now but none of those would swap their achievements to be like Bristol city.

I was thinking the same. The big difference however is location. They would always be a more attractive proposition being in London that us in the SW

I see people saying this all the time but I don’t believe that for a second though. Everything in Londons more expensive and you find half the players that sign for city end up still living down here even after they’ve transferred to another club . Our underachievements over the years purely come down to an owner blindly running the club and us not being as ambitious as others .

I got gas mates (sadly) one of them was laughing during the week because he said he’d be willing to sell. Yes he’s rebuilt the ground & training ground but on the pitch where it matters. For the amount of money he’s put into the playing side of things he’s failed miserably . He’s no Harry Dolman in that respect

Exactly mate blows my mind how people think he’s done a good job when dozens of clubs that were the same size or smaller than us have had way more success and overtaken us in lansdowns quater of a century in charge . I know some of them are now in league one but I can guarantee none of them would swap anything they’ve done to be like Bristol city .

There are plenty of Lansdown happy clappers but it’s his bloody fault we’re in this mess

    Amen

people can blame lj, Ashton and Pearson all they want but in the end it all comes down to him .
