Here we go again, if no one was coming that would be something to moan about, to moan about the "wrong kind of fans" is pathetic elitism.
Suggesting we should return to the old days when away fans and families were frightened to attend matches, and that somehow the club should complicit in that is embarrassing.
No one’s saying that , it’s just being pointed out that with the current ground Layout Ashton gate is close to a morgue and away teams having a whole end surrounded by home fans sat on their hands does nothing but make it easy on the away team .

The egg buggers pull that lot in
And the lansdown stand
I had to go in there for a game before and it was honestly the worst footballing experience going, city score and everyone slowly stands up and gives it a modest clap for 5 seconds .

Very true. The main focus for Gould right now is the kids, hence the training ground visits free shirts etc. Costs dont help though, the average male cant afford to fork out £40 every saturday to potd.
So true I live in Wiltshire and have plenty of mates who wouldn’t mind coming to watch city with me but when it’s nearly £40 a ticket they’d rather just spend a little more going to watch arsenal or go to the pub and watch the prem .

Was it?
Is it?
Yes and yes
a few examples of other fans views on us before the east end went .
Not a fan of the fighting but know we are known as a more southern version of reading with a soulless atmosphere in a ground which you wouldn’t know which team played there , barely anything affiliated with city ( for example the word city taken off the dolman and the other new stands plain .

Just a quick one. Last season you can tell that Section 82 was clearly the loudest in the ground. No singing elsewhere even when the away fans encourage it, except for the painful ‘come on you reds’ or clap clap ‘city’. We need to expand the section to make it a proper home end again, like the old east end. AG was once a feared place, now just an easy point for the opposition.
I believe this would also slow down the hooliganism from S82 and really encourage other fans in other parts of the ground to sing. I appreciate 70 year olds might not want to be deathened by the fact the Bartons mother is a wh**e but we need to bring back the hostile atmosphere that we once had.
I agree with you about section 82 needing to be expanded but honestly it will never happen the club have no interest in creating an atmosphere. The number 1 priority is attracting the middle class family .

Can we swap her for downsey

Waste of an opportunity to make more revenue not having fans surely?

We’re the boos for maguire or the Southgates decision then ?

Completely ridiculous not to be at Wembley as well. Yes, I know, shouldn’t be a London monopoly etc, but 80k intimidates opponents- Hungary folded completely.
Nothing intimidating about Wembley. One of the least atmospheric stadiums in England .

I wonder how much we will hold out for 15m?
15m plus add ons i reckon.
Even if he goes for a big wedge it’s gonna be extremely hard to get a replacement for him in the team with what he brings .

Because of a-holes lighting flares in their a-holes and gate crashing (literally) at last year’s Euro finals.
Nothing to do with flares just the rampage before the game

Yes, much better to sign somebody from Chelsea for big bucks, that guarantees success. Fans love a good "marquee signing" too.
I feel sorry for those poor Leicester fans who had Pearson signing some unknown striker from Fleetwood. What a disaster that was.
Sort it out Nige!
And when he signed some random player from the French second division. I think his name was Riyad Mahrez.

Which week is that ? January 1st - 7th 1986? Sorry but it is not England players that should be criticised, but the FIFA officials and management, who all collected brown envelopes stuffed with notes, to then approve QATAR as the stupidest World Cup venue in football history? Many of the England squad are unhappy and concerned about the World Cup venue, and it is naive in the extreme to blame the players....... IMHO.
Your completely right about the officials and management but of course the England players can be criticised. They say that every game they will keep taking the knee to stand up for equality and get people talking about it but then come December they will be taking part in a tournament that was built using real modern day slavery in which has killed a five figure number of people .
It’s like with David beckham being a ambassador for lots of charities then signing a £150 million deal to be the face of Qatar. The hypocrisy is unreal .

Isn't is it depressing to hear, that the next generation of Hungarians, are just as prejudiced and misguided as their philistine parents?....but hardly surprising, due to their role models?
I’d never boo the knee and I’m not making excuses for what the kids were doing but England players taking the knee for equality then going to play in a World Cup where around 10,000 slaves died making the stadiums takes the piss.

Pearson has said on a few occasions that he won’t stand in his way if Prem club came in but he would be ‘very expensive’
I hope if he goes it is for big money but for example kodjia was a 20 goal a season striker and he didn’t go for 20 million

Im no expert on transfer fees but I think people are gonna be disappointed judging by the £20,000,000 price tag people keep commenting.

Grounds that have “soul” today are grounds linke Goodson, Elland road, etc. AG is like a library most games. Too many happy clappers nowadays, and as others have stated, no needle. Miss the atmosphere of the old East End, the Dolman B Block, or the enclosure. And let’s not forget the old Park End.
What has the new ground got?
Agreed . Has nothing to do with the stadium it’s down to the fans to make the noise . Teams like Leeds make noise no matter how bad their playing and even if they moved ground the noise wouldn’t change .
The cosy nature of the club over the last few years has completely sucked out the atmosphere.

His naivety about running a football club has got the club into debt we’re in.
Any other club could have spent the same as he has done & i bet they would been in the prem for at least 1 season… & had parachute payments.
He only has himself to blame for his debts.
You just hit the nail on the head , although a lot still worship him like he’s a religion.

Season Tickets
in Football Chat

Bradford City have now sold just over 14,000 in league 2 . For 18 to 64 year olds their season tickets are £300 but for a club who’s fans could easily support Leeds or the two Sheffield clubs that pretty incredible support.
