But who DO you want to own the club? It's all very well complaining about the current ownership and in some respects for a shrewd businessman he has been quite gullible with regard to his City dealings , but who wants to take us on?
You’re right it could go either way .
Its just unbelievable that lansdowns been at the club for over two decades and in that time everyone else of a similar and some a smaller size has had a taste of the prem . The money we have spent and the infrastructure the club has we should of had at least a couple of seasons at the top level , instead it’s always one step forward and two steps back .

You do know other clubs are in the league right? Who spend lots of money?
West Brom have a guy on their bench who was £12-18mil, and they are 12th. Johnson never had that kind of money.
The whole probably comment is based on nothing.
Furthermore the whole cup run, where we finished 7th was before we had the money from major player sales as well. Again, prime example of how he’s been “decent”
 West Brom isn’t really a good example as they always have pp. We can talk about every club a similar size to us though as they have all had stints in the prem (Stoke , Cardiff , Swansea , hull, Huddersfield and many other smaller clubs) . I guess the point I’m trying to make is that we will never get prem football under the current ownership .

Lee Johnson was decent.
Yeh decent at pissing money away trying to play virtual football manager . If an experienced manager was given the budget Johnson was (yes I know he had to sell players) we would probably have gone up by now .

If Pearson goes (I really hope not) then we aren’t getting anyone decent here . It would be another Lee Johnson type from the lower leagues probably. A lot of the managers everyone would go for wouldn’t work under the clubs structure for example hughton and cook pre Holden .

If he wants to get another managers’ job there’s not much incentive for him to leave as his record here is awful. Any sensible club owner, with an incy knowledge of what it’s like at city, would make allowances. Unfortunately, most owners are crackpots, from a football perspective, so would just look at his record and regard him as a failure. Hence, no job. If he wants to stay in football management he’s got to make next season a success. Even if it’s only a relative success
I hope he can make it a success, thought it was a great appointment at the time but we’re so much in the I honestly don’t see how he can have the resources to make it a success. Unfortunately it seems that he can’t win and he’s the one who’s gonna end up taking the blame from supporters instead of those at the top who let us get in this mess .

Good shout, mate. Yes. But question is: where? Probably not the Carpathian Mountains this summer, I would suggest.
Hopefully he doesn’t come across a pack of wild dogs this time

I think he’ll walk at the end of the season . What’s he realistically gonna achieve here with the financial restraints from the club being ran so poorly for years . I think anyone who takes the managers job under the current ownership is set up to fail.

They were relegated in 1952.
Are you suggesting football was around before the prem ?

Surprised no ones mentioned the assist by Williams , cheeky.

I was sceptical when I saw he was starting but thought he was very solid and went about his role very nicely . Fair play to the lad

And a **** load of these have Swindon Town as their 2nd team, with a lot of Bath Rugby fans
It’s a weird one tbh I was in a class of 25 at Swindon college with everyone but me from Swindon but only one of them was a Swindon fan . The rest were all Man Utd , Liverpool and Chelsea .

Just think in 5 years time all the man u fans in somerset, be wearing newcastle shirts.
It’s bad enough here in Wiltshire all you see is Liverpool , arsenal and Utd shirts . Plastic fan heaven around here

No it wouldn’t. We’d end up with tiny pockets of fans all singing different things at different times which would stop an atmosphere developing.
It’s hard enough getting the whole of S82 to all sing the same song at the same time nevermind the whole ground who don’t sing at all.
It’s the reason me and a few other only really go away . Can’t commit to a season ticket due to work so can’t get a ticket for section 82 . I’m not paying between £30 to £40 just to sit on my ass all game .

He’s a good player. Desperately sad that so many people seem to have it in for ‘one of our own’.
I’ll always get behind him when he’s on the pitch but sorry I really don’t think hes anything but an average league one player . Would absolutely love for him to prove me wrong though.

Good lord. Think that trip goes back down the list then. Thanks for the heads up!
If you stayed up there for the night to do other things around Yorkshire it wouldn’t be so bad but my personal experience is that it’s pretty grim in the holbeck area of Leeds . I’m sure others on here though quite like Leeds away so maybe they can change your opinion.

Always happy to see some Leeds tears. Plus I’m yet to do Elland Road, a big one I need to tick off.
Good atmosphere in the ground but as an away fan it’s pretty shit . Gantry block top half of away end so can only see half the pitch , no away pubs anywhere even close to the ground and it’s £41 a ticket let alone travel costs .

That’s nuts , I hope that there comes a point where the police turn on putin as well . Anyone know what’s happening to those being arrested for protesting ?.

If you asked me a couple months ago I’d say not very high but the way he’s played since who knows. His strength at times tonight was top level and game by game he just seems to be getting better.

Tbh it’s his poor running of the club that made it a massive financial sink hole , lots of smaller clubs in this league holding their own without financial issues .
