  1. It's a fair point based on how the game went. They created more from open play then we did. I'm just bored of the same passive formation, why not push Bell left wing instead of RWB every time where he contributes nothing with his skill set. Get Twine alongside Conway/Wells, just anything trying to push the game our way. We need to create more at home if we want to beat teams. Sides fighting for their life at the bottom would have lapped up how we played today. Show a bit more aggression, a bit more urgency instead of the same old patterns of play and behaviours. Pring once again driving us on and trying to be the difference maker, we'd miss him if he got injured. Wish we had a bit more of that. We don't have to be world-beaters knocking the ball about, just a bit more pace in the play, get people out of their seats, get them shouting and driving the team forward. I look at the clock and 35 minutes disappear and nothing substantial happens. Twine debut was fine, just needs others moving off him to create more, him and Mehmeti and Sykes would be a great attacking 3 in behind a striker.
  2. Do we have to stay in the same formation for the whole 90 minutes every game? We're so easy to read, mix it up a bit, give them something different to think about.
  3. Can't get the ball out of our half at the moment. Just no pace up front, so slow.
  4. Twine looking much more influential down the middle, don't need him stuck out on the left.
  5. SPH with a goal against Deadpool FC, good loan for him so far. Well done Max. They really should have scored then. Can Robinstv stop calling Chakvetadze Jacktheladze, can he read people's names? It's not like he's an unknown, he scored past us a few weeks ago!
  6. Atleast Twine can head the ball unlike Mehmeti, good ball from Max and Conway's getting a knack for pinching in ahead of defenders/goalies ain't he. Gotta be a bit more aggressive, we can cause these problems with a bit of confidence, go at them.
  7. Won't cause these lot many problems with this passive play, always gotta go back all the time. Everyone isolated, Knight doesn't do much in that forward position without Sykes there. Twine ain't no different to Mehmeti in that position.
  8. Hell of a winger too, him and Jimmy Kebe on the wings at Reading were a proper threat
  9. Good fight and put it on them, couldn't handle it with the dwindling numbers. Wish we did a bit more on the ball when we got opportunities to get forward. Scored off a mistake and other than that it wasn't too much. I like the formation and style for keeping the ball but creating I still think it's a problem. Williams and James were top tonight. Really set the tone pinching the ball constantly and strong challenges. More of that please!
  10. Couldn't do this shithousery in the league where it matters could we? Hate how we persevere with the same formation. What good is Bell at RWB or Wells on his own up top?
  11. I wonder what happened the last time we signed players without thinking to the future. I hope scattergun signings like this don't become the norm again like MA/LJ times. We've got to keep evolving and growing our squad. This definitely improves us in the short-term which is needed but long term without an option it's very underwhelming and I bet the loan fee is into the 100k's at least with fair prem wages on top. Decent player, he's gotta perform from the start, he isn't here for long.
  12. Enjoy him for 6 months in mindnumbing sleepball, hope he can bring a spark and make the play a little more exciting. Board point of view? Desperate. Get off our backs signing. No future upside is disappointing but good luck Scott.
  13. More patterns and behaviours
  14. Don't think he should be playing in the position he does. Not creative or clinical enough.
  15. Preferred the high press identity under Nige. Even if we weren't the best on the ball and it was scrappy, at least we were going at teams and fighting for every ball. Now it's just recycling the ball if "the opportunity" doesn't open up. And we've sacrificed what made us a dangerous team earlier in the season to do so. Same old City, so flat against teams who don't leave gaps. Just hasn't felt fun to watch under Manning so far for me personally. Feels like the personality has been sucked out of the team. Trying to be something we're not.
  16. Only difference is that our press is weaker and that we'd rather have the ball at the back a bit more. Not fun to watch either.
  17. We ain't done enough anyway, performance has been so flat and passive.
  18. Thought we were passive and flat in the first half, second half a bit more confident and actually playing the ball forwards into good areas and running at them. Weimann, James and Wells subs killed our momentum but the players were tiring, I'd like to see Cornick come on earlier. Bet Pring needs about three icebaths after the amount of running he got put through today tracking Bowen and bombing forward. Was annoyed with how we went about the first half, gave them too much respect. They're a decent team in the Prem but they're not overloaded with creative players. We shut off the ball into JWP further up and forced him deeper and Bowen was a bit of sick of running at Pring so he drifted more inside. Deserved the draw and either side could have pinched it.
  19. Cut the passing lanes for Dickie and this team ain't got much. TGH the standout for me so far, putting himself about well.
  20. We keep playing the same way, back to Dickie or Vyner once our forward options don't show for it. Weimann goes hiding in behind markers and looks like he is running through sludge. Knight hasn't got the strength/pace to hold off or get beyond players and hold it up. Mehmeti not consistent enough. Conway isolated and the subs are always like-for-like so nothing changes. The opposition can stay in their set-up and defend as it was and we don't look like changing it up. Wells on his own like Conway fighting battles they'll rarely win. Sykes looks crocked, Cornick and Bell not in favour, Yeboah won't get an opportunity now. The players aren't being played to their strengths and that's evident with this tippy-tappy hot potato 'front-foot-football'. Can see what Manning is trying to do. Just isn't what I like to watch, I like to see teams mix it up a bit and we are so predictable. I don't mind losing to better teams or teams with a clear plan that counter us but Millwall really didn't do that much to beat us today and that is deflating.
  21. Knight runs and runs but if he's going to play in a forward position he has to be an outlet and hold the ball and link it up, keeps going back and back - so frustrating.
  22. Toothless and passive yet again. All we do is just give the ball to someone else instead of trying to do something.
