  1. A player who can pay RB, RWB, CB but seems like his best position is as a midfielder. Think we need a bit more drive, strength and energy in midfield too especially if Scott is moving on. We need versatile players if we are going to continue with a smaller squad.
  2. Investing in the right areas, nice to see us trying to get our deals done early. No messing about!
  3. Can't say he didn't work hard, improved more second half with the running in behind and in the channels but he seems to be snatching at chances in recent weeks. Our best finisher at the club but things don't seem to be going his way at the moment. Wouldn't mind seeing Conway getting a chance leading the line, liked his cameos since his return, lots of really good link-up play but not sure he's ready to start yet maybe.
  4. Would like to see Sykes, Scott and Conway come in for the remaining games. Weimann and Wells levels have dropped off. Had plenty of chances today, looked really blunt when it came to the final ball or the final effort.
  5. Can't say we haven't had the chances to win this game and more today.
  6. Weimann letting the game pass him by, Scott would relish the gaps in midfield at the moment to receive, turn and run at their defence. Wells hasn't contributed too much in the build up but had a decent headed chance. Would like to see AS and Conway on. King and James been really good today again, just need a bit more drive when we win the ball back. Created quite a few chances and got in to some really good areas. Enjoyed that half, shame about the own goal but really think we can come back and win this.
  7. Lots of individual quality in their team but the way we are knocking the ball out and creating chances - I can see why their fans are nervous, we get one and can see the place turn on them.
  8. from probable clubs under FFP with players on wages 20k+ and above? not within our bracket anymore. Think Tinnion and Pearson said we'd only sign top end championship players on frees if they are out of contract and suit our wage structure but otherwise we'll recruit from beneath and maybe abroad markets if the right ones are available at the right price.
  9. Worked very hard and caused a fair few problems today, was nice to see the whole squad come over to celebrate with him too. Played some really nice balls through in the first half and deserved his goal and assist today.
  10. Wells and Weimann's build up been a bit off today but other than that we're playing really well. They're a good team and we've been dangerous on numerous occasions, keep them out from set pieces and we've got a chance.
  11. We're still going to be miles off all the parachute payment clubs every year, that's the way it is. If we want to progress we have to do it in the most pragmatic and right way for our club, let's sort out our sustainability and steadily progress on the pitch each year. Don't understand the people who say, playoffs or bust, get rid of the manager if we miss out etc. What has our club done to deserve to be anywhere near that? Certainly not investing in the right way to get there in recent history. We have to operate similar to Brighton and Brentford prior to their promotion to the Prem, and we're nowhere near that yet either. We're on our way steadily, but people need to take a step back and let the club do the work and hopefully not mess it up. I'd be happy with however many seasons in this division if I saw steady progression, be in touch with the playoffs, play slick, counter attacking football and give opportunities to players coming through like we are now. I see the beginning of these but we've still got a long way to go yet. We can't buy our way into the playoffs with stupid wages and stupid fees, we have to do it our own way and that will take time.
  12. 52 points, jumping above Stoke. Deserved win, solid/really good for 60-70 minutes. Could have had more, only limiting them to one clear cut chance for the goal, they weren't too threatening otherwise. Pats on backs to the staff, players and fans today. Get behind them and look what can happen. Is that five wins away at Stoke in a row?
  13. Deserved. Good job Bell and Vyner, get the winner now. COYR.
  14. Should have taken our chance unfortunately. Been better team last 15-20 minutes, didn't make it count.
  15. Tanner been consistent this season and improving steadily, when Wilson gets the chance to come in - he has to take it. Simple as that really.
  16. Did more than Wells and Weimann whilst they were on, give him a chance to settle in. Didn't spend a fortune on the guy and he's got plenty of time left in his career, get behind the guy. Had so many players before him who we've spent five or tenfold the amount of money who never got the amount of grief Cornick gets, it's embarrassing the way people talk about him and others when they're not playing well. I never saw Palmer get this type of hassle when he cost over 10 times the amount, and he barely contributed anything over his stay here in BS3. Give him this half of the season to get to grips with how we want to play and a proper pre-season and then judgements would be fair.
  17. Bullying us, outrunning us. Not letting us settle to counter in the slightest. No hold up at the top of the pitch to get a foothold. We get the ball to Mehmeti/JD and Sykes/Cornick on the wings and there is no inside option, Weimann, Wells, Scott or King need to be there, at least one of them but we're just being overran at the moment. They play down the sides with Drameh and Doughty then when that's cut out they switch it over to the other side quickly and we aren't keeping up. Their two forwards are big strong lumps and put a lot of running and effort into linking up, full credit to them - a clear identity and it's snuffing ours out at the moment. The whole team needs to step up and win a couple tackles early and things may start falling our way, if they don't they'll kill the game early.
  18. All of the sideways passes just asking to get pressed, too many sloppy passes leading to that.
  19. A goal from outside the box, three points against a bogey team and the sheets are in the wash today. Decent performance overall. Cornick the whipping boy did his part for the second goal and OTC getting league minutes tops off a good day. Want to mention Andy King, gets stick but thought he was excellent today, picking up decent positions all over the pitch sweeping up or getting us up the pitch. A really clever pass to Weimann for his goal after Tanner had made the space on the overlap. Well done to him, must be difficult for him to put the minutes in at his age but he's been thrown in and done what's asked of him today and away in midweek.
  20. Players standing in space instead of moving into it, going to have to thread it through the eye of a needle to create proper chances here. Andy King been brilliant so far, getting about everywhere today.
  21. playing well but the amount of people standing still instead of moving for each other in the box is frustrating
