  1. Rennie must have had an influence over Pring's fitness, he used to gas out around 60-70 minutes each week.
  2. Pring's head could have dropped after giving away the penalty but he is probably one of the only players we have who can drive past others and create - something we need a bit more of, well done to Sykes for his first goal. How good is that Bacuna by the way - squeezes out of trouble really well.
  3. Pring and Semenyo really causing problems down the left but our right is a bit lacklustre. Scott had lots of good time on the ball but his final ball has been poor, rode a lot of challenges and got us up the pitch well but his choice of pass has been a bit off bar the Semenyo goal.
  4. midfield had to win that battle against Bacuna, caught out for being too weak
  5. Decisions like that usually given against us, almost in a state of shock! What a finish Nakhi. What a finish.
  6. Antoine! Thought he handballed that, he's on fire at the moment! Pring excellent running again. Back four and midfield have to stay strong, plenty of time left.
  7. He just isn't as mobile as I would like, he seems to be quicker with the ball then without it. Things sometimes go past him a bit easy but his quality on the ball is perfectly fine.
  8. Don't like Naismith in midfield, we look open when they turn the ball over.
  9. You can spin things however you want, depending on how you feel and it is obvious on how you feel about the guy which is fair enough. Our fans always expect growth even though we've spunked all our money away. This is a long reset for this little cosy club of ours. I've never heard of a five year plan under NP (if i'm wrong please correct me, thought that was a LJ Europa League waffle statement). He could have kept the wasters around and never given the young lads a chance but he did. He's brought in Rennie, Euell and Fleming IIRC? might be more but that doesn't seem like an army, and if he wants his guys in then why is that a bad thing? At the end of the day he is the manager if he wants to call someone out for not meeting his standards then he has every right to do so, don't understand why our fans get so upset by it - has your manager at work never told you or someone else they aren't working hard enough and needs more? I'd rather the manager of our club be as transparent as possible if the message isn't getting across at the training ground. Semenyo and Scott have both been used at RWB under Pearson, and look how much both these two have improved once they've settled into getting regular football in their positions, Weimann does a fair job there too when asked to. I have no issue in players playing out of position if they work hard for the team. Agree with the plan B issue, we're so used to having many "clubs in the bag" to throw on, don't have that luxury at the moment. Naismith regularly injured? he had one stint out of the team. Tanner bought in as one for the future has settled in brilliantly in recent weeks and looks like he has excellent potential by not throwing him in at the deep end. Agree on Martin, Klose and Simpson but he needs bodies and now the squad is starting to settle he can now see what kind of movement he would like to make in the near future (possibly now if we get lucky in the window this month). Transfer stuff been done to death, WE NEED TO SELL BEFORE WE BRING ANYONE IN - LOANS COST ££££. He has said countless times in post match interviews that he takes the blame, perhaps he smiles because you don't know much of a shitshow has been behind the scenes of our club and he didn't really know how much he was getting into, but he is still here trying to change our identity and it is about time we had someone like that, not since Mr Cotterill have we had someone put their own stamp on this club and I hope NP doesn't get treated the same way. I don't see a lack of accountability at all, he has said recently to boo him but get behind the team. We can all be spin doctors of course, that is your opinion and this is mine - I've said it a few times on here but this is the first time in over five years I've actually enjoyed going home and away to watch the City - there is a bit of fight about us, can only think of 2-3 games where we've been made to look stupid this season - Brum and Reading away still eat away in my brain from this season but I could name most of the games this season where we've been super competitive and had plenty of opportunities to take the three points on the day. We're never going to be promotion contenders, I mentioned before we had our chance and blew it, thank Mr Lansdown, Ashton and Johnson for that. We might be able to become a sustainable mid-table progressive football club in this division if our fans gave it time to turn it around. I'd rather have this team we have right now fighting to keep us up instead of some others in previous years, we may be light on our feet in terms of numbers but I can't say they don't try. Always get behind our boys, COYR.
  10. Wolves linked with signing Mario Lemina from OGC Nice for about £10m so might hinder the move for Scott possibly.
  11. Their midfielder Nunes has been linked with a move to Liverpool and a few other bigger clubs so perhaps they are doing their due diligence and preparing for that by looking at Scott as a replacement down the line.
  12. Think it was the home game last year, remember Brereton Diaz scoring a good finish in front of the South Stand.
  13. He's looking for a Knockaert type player and I see similarities between him and Khadra, could see him playing off two strikers or as one of two behind a striker for sure. We'd have to invest in more wide players and change the whole formation if he wanted to play him as a winger. Ripped us to pieces at our place for Blackburn I seem to remember, absolutely rapid and not afraid to dribble past someone, something we really lack.
  14. Treading a fine line with this because the B'muff owner has said he's going to strengthen this window with 4-5 players. We're definitely willing to sell but im unsure if the 12m figure is correct, maybe 7-8 up front with the rest in instalments but with only a year left on the deal I'd be surprised! If they're willing to front the money and we can keep them interested instead of looking elsewhere then it is a deal that should be done. Wells, Conway, Weimann as a front three looks sharp and with Bell making his way through and Martin probably being moved on leaves a spot for someone to come in a forward area if we invest in it wisely.
  15. Thought he played a lot of good balls into midfield in the second half, his switches to Pring weren't as good as Naismith to Tanner but he barely put a foot wrong tonight, not the first time this season either. One of the best players on the pitch today, well done Zak!
  16. Do you trust the higher-ups to make the right appointment? I for sure as hell don't. We're not plucky Bristol City spunking money down the drain anymore. No 'big names' will come here, people been spouting these names for years and we still end up with nowt. We are not as big or as good as we think we are. Never have been. This proper rebuild we're trying to make takes time, football fans and people in general have no patience anymore. We could be in the Championship, League One or National League South and I'd still support and get behind them. This is the first time since SC's reign where we had a man who is trying to initiate real change and for once the Lansdown family are actually on board with it instead of wasting money. All I see is this entitlement and I have no idea where it has come from. I've actually enjoyed watching us quite a lot this season, probably for the first time since 2017-2018.
  17. Be careful what you wish for. I didn't like what I saw tonight but full well know who sits on top of the Bristol Sport 'empire' hasn't made many decisions which have progressed this football club positively. Let's say NP does get the boot and Gould leaves, who is making the decision for the new manager? If it's the egg chasing fanatic and his art student son again we might as well write our notices and book our trips to Shrewsbury and Fleetwood in the division below now.
  18. Is Tanner the only one who can shoot from outside the box in our team? bloody hell great technique
  19. Weimann wingback i'm guessing. The amount of sideways passes when there is a chance to get in and around the sides is driving me doolally, the only way we've gotten through with those lazy passes is Scott going on a run himself.
  20. Decision making is so poor tonight, getting into ok positions and then fluff it
