  1. Is anyone actually showing for the ball? Just seems like people are hiding behind markers, and the one time someone gets free the quality of the pass is atrocious, seen it multiple times that the pass is behind someone or miles in front of them. Makes my blood boil seeing it constantly.
  2. my MOTM goes to Cundy, never really caught out against a livewire in Khadra and won his headers, bought a freekick or two, his first start at this level, well done to him!
  3. Just need one of the midfield three to win it and look forward instead of looking back instantly, kills any momentum as they are just going to sit off and wait for us to waste it. We've been okay, much more solid. In before we concede and the post doubles in size.
  4. One mistake or one moment of quality will probably win this. Keep Khadra quiet and Dack when he comes on and we've got a chance.
  5. They're going to score down their left if we keep leaving Cundy to defend that Khadra
  6. Kalas barely won a header in the first half against Davis who pinned him back. Cundy came on and towered over Davis and won the first aerial ball in to Davis in the second half. It made Forest use the long forward ball less and we weren't leaking chances every time the ball was played into Davis, good for Cundy to get 45+ in the bag and he didn't let anyone down.
  7. Cundy not been too bad since he's come on, wouldn't be adverse to seeing him get a start, held his own against Davis.
  8. Wouldn't be surprised to see back 5 with Scott at RWB
  9. All of the saves bar the Davis free header from 6 yards out he should be saving, including the goal. Going to be difficult to deal with Spence even if we swap JD to the other side, they're a good side Forest. That Davis has Kalas pinned every single time, need someone in front of him to stop him getting the ball down and playing. I'd bring James and Bell on for Massengo and Pring probably and see if that changes things.
  10. Shouldn't get beaten at that angle even with a deflection
  11. Coventry usually dominate possession so Robins has told them to let us have the ball and we look a bit clueless unless we pinch the ball high up. Doubt the goal happens with Williams in, no idea where that gap comes from, if Williams is in the middle and Kalas is further across the ball is easily dealt with. Not too much in the game, they're just hoping we cock up on the ball and catch us on the break with our inexperienced midfield. Still time, needs a few tweaks though. COYR.
  12. Maatsen at LWB for them is their best outlet according to a Cov friend of mine so might be a bit rough for Sam Bell but wouldn't be surprised to see NP go for the same barring Williams getting a rest.
  13. phew... wouldn't be City without those last couple minutes would it?
  14. Get the chequebook out, give him what he wants... within reason.
  15. Boro slowly adapting to us towards the end of the half, we may need to make a few tweaks as we look open, if we carry on as we are, we could be in trouble. Seen us play better and worse so can't complain with the application so far, their forwards look dangerous and we need to be switched on, COYR.
  16. Not sure why our fanbase keeps going on about playoff pushes, we had our chance at that and LJ/MA/SL spunked that up the wall. Seen this with quite a few clubs since covid but there doesn't seem to be any patience anymore, maybe in our case because the previous managerial regime planted seeds of "sleeping giant" and "premier league club in waiting" - we're miles off it. If we were still spending stupid amounts of money on players left right and centre I'd probably agree but NP has been left an absolute scrapheap. We've been rubbish for years and been kept afloat by daylight robberies at home and away for years, this is the first time in a long while that we have players that make me get off my seat and we play half-decent counter attacking football. We haven't done that since Cotts and maybe first half 2017 under LJ, it's been mindnumbing since imo. I'm happy with slow, steady signs of progress, I actually enjoy watching football at Ashton Gate now and didn't think I'd be saying that considering what we've been served the last couple years. If NP has had enough of protecting certain players then I'm behind him, there isn't anyone better available to try and fix this house of cards we've got.
  17. A lot of the goals we are conceding are not just one mistake, it is multiple mistakes from multiple players in sequences of play, sometimes all it takes is one person to do their job correctly and clear lines and then the team can regroup and go again. We just don't seem to have enough conviction and awareness when the game is turning against us, if we stifle a couple attacks it can slow down the other team's momentum and then we can start again, and the boys up top look really dangerous on the counter which is refreshing in itself. We do have outlets on the break, just got to be more aware of how we stop teams building up momentum against us.
  18. love the way he responded to the second set of questions, couldn't stop laughing. edit - thought the comment about not digging out individuals and defending/attacking as a team was interesting too.
  19. We've played alright, switching off twice and getting punished for it.
  20. Blackpool don't mess about getting the ball forward do they? Tight game so far, feels like one mistake for either side is going to be the one that opens this game up. Both teams working hard.
  21. Weimann and Pring both making mistakes on the break. Another really good performance considering what we were seeing maybe 2-3 months ago at home and away when everyone was calling for the manager's head. At least it is individual mistakes that are costing us and not the style or lack of effort on the pitch. It may seem like two points dropped but you can't say we didn't go for it. I am really enjoying this team run their socks off and they will learn from these mistakes. COYR.
  22. Think if that challenge had been given against us I'd be a bit fuming, Semenyo went down a bit easy but can see arguments for either side.
  23. They seem to be focusing on our right with the diagonal into JD but Kalas has been supporting him well. Preston haven't really got going yet but the way they are zipping the ball in to forward players could catch us offguard if we aren't switched on.
