  1. Even if we don't hold the lead or add to it in the second half, how refreshing is it to see our team bust their gut and play some really nice attacking football? COYR.
  2. About time we dominate games, it is usually us doing the mugging when we travel away and get the win. Manmarking from set-pieces is a real issue, need one or two more brutes at the back to take control of those situations. Missing Baker massively. Refreshing to see the young boys get more game-time and we need to keep Williams fit, best central midfielder we've had in a long time.
  3. Can we have one week without scapegoating someone? We've played well but haven't tested their keeper enough. It'll come, COYR.
  4. Luton have a hardworking team and I'm a little worried to see how Massengo and Scott do against Mpanzu and Berry for them, they will need Weimann to help them out if we want to win that battle in the middle. Hope we see Williams come back for maybe 20-30 minutes towards the end.
  5. The midfield left the defence open on countless occasions today. We have James or Williams in there and we don't get walked through time and time again. Yes, the defence made mistakes today but Scott, King and Massengo did not contribute defensively at all. Every time we have won at Fulham in recent years, we've won the midfield battle and defended as a team, not leaving the defence to deal with their attackers and fullbacks who were constantly overlapping and stretching us wide open which is what happened today.
  6. It always seems when Mitrovic has a good game it brings up the other players performance levels. When we've played Fulham before and he's had poor games we've been able to edge it, unfortunately he's been superb today.
  7. They aren't defensively sound, we snuff out their midfield overload and we can create chances with our boys coming forward. I know we are leaking chances but it is refreshing to see us get on the break and cause them issues, it will be a miracle to get something out of this game but I'm going to take the positives from Semenyo, Pring and snippets from COD. Refreshing to see us look dangerous, be a bit more solid in midfield and there will be less pressure on the back 3 and see where the game takes us.
  8. I'd take Weimann off for a midfielder, shame James ain't available. Semenyo doing the work of two up front, let's get an extra man helping out and push Massengo nearer Semenyo.
  9. who on earth is marking the man with 25 goals in the league from a corner??
  10. I actually don't think Wells would have even been in position for those chances that Conway had. He worked hard to get into their spaces and I don't see Wells do that enough. Conway looked a danger when he came on and those are the types of players I want in our team, think he could be really well suited to being a super-sub to cause hassle off the bench. Wells played okay but he doesn't seem like one to take the game to the opponent, goes missing a lot. Mind you, if a chance was to fall to someone in the box right now out of all our strikers i'd prefer it fall to Wells. We are just a bit weak up front right now.
  11. The way he rolled and span the last defender for the winner is something i'm desperate to see more of in our team - beat a man, have a shot or put it into an area. Get the wrong side of the defender, get them backtracking and it causes havoc, keep at it Antoine, if it provides space for Martin, Weimann or whoever then it's good enough for me.
  12. wouldn't be surprised if he's been told he can't get anyone on this window and he might have done it to prove a point so show our depth, young lads deserve a chance based on this season's performances but we can't get close at the moment, just keep bouncing off them. if we win a couple tackles we'd get a bit more confidence and can play but just feels like we are bouncing off them.
  13. attacking well and not messing about when we get the ball forward but just feels like we are wide open, I'd be shocked if we kept a clean sheet. *stream is behind* - oops.
  14. I always look at our own performance before having a go at any referee decisions but last night was really really poor from the officiating standpoint. He wanted to be centre of attention and got it. A referee shouldn't even be noticed in a game but him being in the middle of it all says a lot. I was unsure of the Scott shout in the first half but looking back the ref and lino bottled that, but the flow of the game was so stop start. Pulling the game back for no reason. There was one moment where we pinched the ball high up and won a throw-in and the QPR player went down for no reason, we could have played on but the referee stopped the game which he should not do because it was not a head injury. It almost seemed like he wanted to slow us down, that really irritated me. He did not give a foul for that challenge because it was not a foul but that does not mean stop the game for something that was not a foul. Absolutely moronic call and it felt like it wasn't going to be our day. We were looking strong until the ref pulled up for little things and we had to build up momentum again and again. Can't fault our boys but I hope to never see him referee another one of our games again.
  15. Has been really patient with better players ahead of him. I really want to praise him for that. He is a real good keeper who will get better with more game-time. If I was behind all the other keepers i'd get fed up and want to get some gametime elsewhere but he has stayed and waited for his chance. If Bentley has to go for whatever reason then let's get behind this boy and give him the support he deserves. Only played a handful of games for us but whenever called upon he has never let us down, those Villa and WBA (cup game - his debut?) away games stick in my mind.
  16. Assists with both feet, almost broke the post with his weaker left foot too. About time we have someone who isn't so easy to read when we are attacking. Hasn't done much wrong since being put up top, keep him there till the end of the season and get him a proper strike partner. He's only going to get better, let's get behind this lad.
  17. We have robbed teams on the road for years. It happens to us once and we all wet our nappies. We attacked fairly well today and actually created chances for once! I'll take the positives and hope we can bring back the defensive sturdiness we had in the last couple of home games back with that attacking intent we shown today.
  18. We played okay today, usually bored to sleep watching us slowly plod the ball around but atleast we had a bit of pace and vigour to us today albeit we still can't hold onto the ball for too long. I actually enjoyed it overall. Huddersfield picked us off on the wide areas and the midfield were anonymous in that aspect. No coverage for the youngboys out wide at all. Semenyo was dangerous and its good to see him being trusted up top. Yeah we conceded 3 really poor goals today but I thought today was one of our better attacking performances up until the end where they killed the game off with the timewasting. I'm usually very critical of the team but I am happy with some aspects of our performance today. Did people forget we churned out a few decent results at home recently? Huddersfield are a pretty solid team to be fair to them, played to our weaknesses and took their chances. We have done that countless times on the road over the last few years, I could name double figures. Sometimes it goes for you, sometimes it doesn't.
  19. I actually think we're playing alright, they've had four chances and scored three. I'm usually very critical but I've enjoyed watching us move the ball a bit quicker, shame we can't handle their attacks down the wings, midfield aren't supporting the two young boys out wide much and they've scored all their chances from those areas.
  20. a couple stepovers does not make you worth a spot in a team.
  21. so slow and ponderous off the ball, move for each other man, no urgency whatsoever.
  22. the commentator just said "as it stands city are about to stop the rot..." 10 seconds later, bam.
  23. I blame Bakinson... I'm joking but really poor to concede that out of nothing.
