  1. Scintillating stuff. QPR trying to play, but just not that good. We have simply been boring, robins tv just love to pump out the brave on the ball mantra. More so in the last two weeks, all i can say is; i look forward to the day it comes.
  2. I didn't want anything blue, or even navy blue when I got married. Despite a few attempts for me to at least try; it was a firm no. My now wife actually assumed it was because of the Tory's. She was even more wtf when i explained it was football related. Blue in every day life, it's just another colour. Though as a child and teenager i did hate the colour
  3. Step up or step aside. It's a simple formula
  4. Somebody calm cool considered with everything they do. Do things their way. Step up Mr turtle
  5. It's quite difficult to both support the team and be angry against the club leaders.... the atmosphere sounds trapped..... Too much team support is validation, too much anger is team betrayal.the result is much of nothing We live in a world where even too much winning would validate them
  6. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/oct/11/real-life-championship-manager-rise-dorking-wanderers A little bit more on the club ..... One of my favourite things on him; Whenever a visiting side sell out their allocation at Dorking’s Meadowbank stadium, he puts money behind the bar at local pubs to show his appreciation. ‘I like rewarding the fans that make an effort to sort of say, “If you’re spending your money coming to Dorking, then I’m going to buy you a beer because we appreciate it”,’ he says. ........ The guy has lived the football dream. He made his money working in the finance sector in London, so is rich enough to wear what he wants I guess.
  7. Have a small squad by intention and preference, so when injuries come calling, no matter how extreme... Small squad is not a reason. Didn't invest the scott money. Right now those chickens are coming home to roost Everybody loves an academy player or two, but it's not supposed to be most of your side, as the way we play. It's a bit headless chicken football 100 mile an hour football with no real precision. There's enough effort, and talent in that team, we won't be near the bottom, but Leicester, Leeds, Ipswich we are miles away. We run around with high energy, we have some quality moments (Conway v Rotherham) but we certainly don't play front foot attractive football. The thing is, it's almost a good team, it's almost there, a striker, an attack minded midfielder playing between lines, a keeper (harsh) and somebody genuinely exciting on the ball. There is in hope for the future (as always) but too often it's a slog to watch..... The last 3 Coventry, Ipswich, Cardiff........ Next to 0 high quality. To often I've thought to myself i wish city had that type of player or played that type of pass. We are what we are, a team of quality moments, but not enough high quality, and certainly not enough precision attacking football Are we really better than a year ago? Have we moved forward? As a club I'm sure the progress is there. The wage bill etc etc. But on the pitch, the thing i actually care about...... The one player you could build around is no longer there, sure we added in other areas, but are we any different/better? Playoffs feel as far away as ever. I love that we have an academy to be proud of, i love the players coming through...... It's great that it saves money. But it's supposed to compliment to how you invest - and that's exactly what we are missing.
  8. 12 promotions in 23 years.... I mean he's getting something right.
  9. That's the plan though, always has been. Sell the very very good after a season, keep the decent to good. The circle continues
  10. Well you've just learnt what kind of person you are.... Are you a results based person? Or Are you performance based? Personally the score is funny. And a bit of a joke
  11. I just get a loading page. Wonderful
  12. Indeed As i actually do live in spain, had to take a flight to italy

  14. Do you not remember last time ??
  15. I think it's a decent stab. Only team which seems out of place is Burnley. Sheffield Wednesday Derby Pompey Coventry Watford Burnley City Reading Blackpool ..... I'm not even that happy with Burnley above city. I mean they are a well run club sure, but look at their success and still only 15-20k attendance. (Granted it's half the town)
  16. You'd certainly argue Preston are a club with a deeper history, but bigger? Fanbase, honours and when, stadium, tradition. I think city are near the top, or top. ....... Just as an extended point. City, Coventry, sheffield weds, watford , Portsmouth, Burnley, Derby, Blackpool, Reading. how would you put those 9 in order?
  17. That's got the point where it goes without saying. If it was in the other box, i see that at 50-50 at best
  18. It's about as obvious as they come. Was he looking for it, sure. But the leg was out in such away that's a pen every single time.
  19. What's worse.... Nothing at all Or an audio that's so much further ahead than reasonable (least can mute it)
  20. Waste of a Saturday afternoon
  21. He should score. We can get technical, but he put himself in a position from where he should score. It's a good save, but a poor finish.
