  1. Cranberry juice is apparently good for that. Also, people who stop at roundabouts when there is clearly no car anywhere near to the right.
  2. Which one did you go to? The smaller one, opposite the court in Bristol is better.
  3. Exactly. Plus tomorrow we are home to West Ham, who are there for the taking, full house - on TV. Whats not to like?
  4. Wow - this thread got mental. Am i allowed to be pleased he has joined? TBH i couldnt give a toss if it costs the club a few quid - just give me entertaining football and if this lad is the spark - bring it on
  5. I bumped into him once, at a Pub in Portishead. He was with Marlon Pack, Jack Hunt and someone else (might have been Flinty - i cant recall.). He was great with my lad, taking selfies and talking to him - not wanting to get away. He must have had a whole can on Lynx on him mind. 200 games, 50 goals, 30 assists for City. A big player in our recent history, and look at how the young lads looked up to him. Top bloke and a top pro
  6. Do we have anyone reporting from the Roof? Its 4 minutes past five....
  7. This is a classic OTIB transfer thread. Rumours, arguments, paranoia and humour. Love it
  8. Crap parking, and while the food looks good - when we went recently it was very average.
  9. Lansdown has sunk in how much - 200 odd million? He's not going anywhere until he recovers most of that. Reality check
  10. Nobody with half a brain, thought we would be near the top 6 this season without or without Pearson. Most predicted mid table - 10-14th place which is where we are and where we will likely end up. Preston are a bogey team for us, and yes i agree - today was shite. I actually dozed off. The bottom line is the players are what they are - midtable. I dont see why we have to self flaggelate after every poor/average performance.
  11. If you are going to pick a whipping boy for todays performance, at least pick one from the right area of the pitch
  12. I think its that he is such a good pro - the manager knows what he is gonna get from him. With his engine he can play anywhere upfield. You might be correct about playing upfront more, but that depends who is around him at the time. 51 goals and 29 assists in 216 games is a very good return for someone played in multiple positions. Quality player
  13. I mean - its a bit ridiculous, but the bloke is trying to make a living. Harsh to be too critical
  14. One of our best players in recent years - what an engine on him. Well respected by the younger players too - a real pro and a role model. Good luck to him, and at least he is closer to home now. Not sure how much game time he will get at WBA, but best of luck.
  15. Playing it out from the back defender like a lot of teams prefer to play nowadays. An era and style defining player. RIP
  16. An iconic player. @Kid in the Riot will be upset. A Welsh legend
  17. So sad. Talk about modern players playing out from the back - he was years ahead of his time. RIP
  18. Id taken my eyes off the game, momentarily, and pretty much went through the same thought process as you describe. Just put the bloody flag up as soon as you see the offside
  19. Go and be weird somewhere else. Im fed up of threads being polluted by I love Nige / I hate Nige. If you want to talk about that, start a new thread. This is about something else.
  20. Great goal though wasn't it? Perfect position for a striker to take the ball, and a brilliant touch. Also a laser like finish. A few hundred grand Embarrassing I reckon that will do Tommy the world of good
  21. He seems to have some fitness now and performing like we hoped he would when we signed him. Fair play to him - been decent recently and that pass today was beautiful.
  22. Gotta be the slags at home. Very much overdue
  23. This has not aged particularly well…
