  1. The First X1 bus driver? Is he ITK? Im losing track tbh
  2. Im still laughing at the "false 9" position being woke. Classic
  3. Miserable bunch of buggers. 3 points at the weekend, and a beautiful sunny Autumn morning. What will be will be
  4. 3 points - that will do. Didnt go today but a mate just told me the atmosphere was shit.
  5. Fairly predictable interview really. Crap interviewer i thought - like a nervous Labrador. On the Alex Scott money, one of JL's comments hinted it was not received in one payment. I know this is fairly common, but does anyone know what the actual terms where ?
  6. He did alright last season, but im afraid has too many arguments with players it seems. Nowadays, the top players have a lot of power. Clubs can't just leave assets worth 70/80 Million to fester in the reserves. He'll be gone soon, for the next one to be wheeled in. Rinse and repeat
  7. Pretty sure LJ was the longest serving manager in the Championship, when he was sacked. Food for thought
  8. Paying the mortgage is usually enough of a motivation. Resigning on principle doesnt pay the bills - rather tough it out and wait for a pay off
  9. That perfectly sums up the clubs typical recruitment process for a manager.
  10. If you look at the dismissals of Holden and Johnson, they were deserved based on form and the fanbase was pretty much in agreement with the sackings. The sackings were also for clear failure on the pitch. I think the big difference this time, was the vast majority of fans approved with what NP was doing, and there is sufficient evidence that a big part of his dismissal was down to internal politics. That has led to a real downer on a owner, who lets face it, looks like he has checked out, and for some NP has become a club legend - which is a bit weird. So yeah - Lansdown isnt winning a popularity vote against Pearson thats for sure.
  11. On the contrary, given Lansdowns form over the year and his flip/flop strategy, i can see him playing the reverse Uno card and giving money to a big name coach who has seduced him. That would be so Lansdown. I reckon all this is pure fantasy.
  12. Scottish chap. Man Utd. Quite good
  13. Good point. Ill print out the 5 metre tall lettering and you scale the massive frame, climb up, and glue it down. Great plan mate. We will take him down
  14. I effing love hate randoms with their "sources". All good fun though!
  15. Its that level of detail that makes it sound so believable.
  16. Well, the "process" of recruiting the replacement for LJ was a basket case. Lets hope they have learned. As for finally adopting a philosophy - its only taken 20 years. Lets see if they stick to it - i have my doubts. Lansdown has more flop flops on his CV than the CEO of Havaianas
  17. The same thing was said when they sacked LJ. We all saw it coming, albeit different circumstances. The club had ample time to line someone up but dithered for, what was it - 6 weeks? I wouldnt hold your breath mate. This lot are incompetent, as has been demonstrated time and time again.
  18. Certainly agree with you on that. It shows a complete lack of class. Id have expected it from JL because he has zero EQ, but presumably BT and NP worked very closely over the last 24 months. To not give thanks / credit is piss poor.
  19. This is Dean Holden part 2 isn't it?
  20. I suppose with a small squad, you have to let the players rest. Its a difficult balance, but in this case this is very poor from the club. Amateurish, really. Surely their are individual protocols for this based on an individuals fitness profile? For example - we know Joe Williams fitness is made of glass compared to others - surely you would stipulate he does a minimum level when on holiday etc
  21. Really? Job Description: 1) Deliver promotion with current squad 2) Squad wage budget maxed out 3) Owner given up no longer putting his hands in his pockets for decent transfers 4) Best players will be sold to keep club solvent 5) You will play in the style told to you by Brian Tinnion, a legend at Bristol City (but nowhere else) 6) Chairman is a basket case 7) Club is up for sale I don't see that as a terribly attractive gig tbh, particularly when you see how Pearson got treated.
  22. Agreed, and if he has done a good job at the academy he deserves credit. However, the day after Pearson is sacked he pops up in a much bigger role than the one announced in November. The TD role put him in charge of recruitment and the academy. 24 hours after NP is sacked he the new head coach reports to him and he sets the footballing philosophy for the entire club. Does that not smell a bit?
