If he is telling the truth, then its proof of shocking mis-management. If he is telling porkies, then you would ask why, as it would be far better in his shoes to pretend the wages were lower than top 6 in order to "defend" where we are in the league. The other option could be he is misinformed. Very concerning in any scenario tbh
