  2. Meh. I’m obviously in the minority but they’re hardly club legends. I suppose you’re right, after Bobby produced one excellent season and Joe scored a few decent goals we should roll out the red carpet. Theres nothing tinpot about being hostile towards former players, unless every club in English (and I assume World) football is tinpot. Each to their own, just can’t have people moaning about no atmosphere and then start crying because their favourite academy players got some stick after leaving.
  3. I’m sure he’s very very upset about being booed. I doubt he’ll ever look at the club the same way again after such heinous disrespect!
  4. He’s moaned about the fan base since he left. Weird one really as everyone wished him well and I never saw any negative comments about him until he came out with some. Neither of them play for us anymore. Really don’t understand the issue with trying to create a more toxic/hostile atmosphere even if the grounds half empty. I doubt either player is bothered and they’re hardly club legends. Give them a tough afternoon all match and clap at the end. God knows why so many are desperate to protect them.
  5. Think we’ve got to shift the high earners and start again with the young players and those that actually want to be here. Give the academy guys championship minutes and they’ll gel. Add on James etc and we’re in ok shape.
  6. Almost as if they have different roles in the team! Would love to see him have goals in his locker but his current contribution is fine for a 20 year old. Brownhill was hardly banging goals in until near the end of his time here
  7. Absolutely, it’s impossible to throw a bottle whilst sat down.
  8. Yeah service is the issue, still yet to replace Eliasson. The hopeful balls over the top need to stop.
  9. It’s not complete rubbish is it? When he first turned up he scored 5 in 5 playing up front, his goals all come from being in and around the box up front. Offers far more than any other striker we’ve got and he’s got the goal record to go with it.
  10. Still won’t be signing a decent striker, desperately need a right back and a winger.
  11. Why is a centre midfielder who consistently runs the midfield frustrating because he also doesn’t have screamers in his locker? Does his job well, goals would be nice but aren’t necessary.
  12. Once Palmer’s wages are free we should be spreading them between HNM and Scott. Tie them down now and actually look to build a side.
  13. It’s all he does when he’s shoved out wide. Needs to consistently play up front, it’s his best position and he’s always dangerous. We don’t need to sign a striker in January, just give Weimann service.
  14. Criminally underrated by quite a few, always sets the tempo and does the hard work to let James play his game. If he adds goals to his game he won’t be here much longer.
  15. Very tidy kit, difficult to get hold of these days.
  16. What’s the obsession with checking other fans forums to see what they’re saying about our losses? Who cares?
  17. Can’t be many clubs who regularly sell their best players and get out the league? I don’t see how it’s possible to constantly tear apart squads and expect progress, you can see in the difference between the squad that beat united and the current one what happens with this model. It hasn’t even worked as there’s no guarantees around the quality of recruitment.
  18. Let them learn themselves. Many of us ignored Watford fans and had to learn the hard way and Ipswich fans will be the same.
  19. That’s something I’d like to see, although I’ve got no clue how this would affect finances. Charging nearly £40 to non-members to watch terrible football is borderline criminal, I certainly wouldn’t pay it if I wasn’t a season ticket holder. I’ve got friends who study in Bristol who watch the gas instead of us because of the stark difference in cost. You would assume we would sell more tickets charging say, £20 (or slightly higher) and making an effort to fill the place than we currently do. Without doing any maths surely the increased matchday revenue from the additional supporters buying food/drink would end up making up for the reduced income from tickets?
  20. Hope this marks the end of the financial model reliant on player sales. Covid has exposed just how unreliable and unsustainable it is. The club was totally dependant on good recruitment that developed players we could sell for huge profits, this can't be guaranteed and in a worse case scenario like this sets us back years. Be very disappointed to see the club fold at the first bid for Scott etc. The desperation to sell our best assets is bizarre, unless a player downs tools we should be doing our best to actually build a side.

Thought he was just quiet. Did his usual job of breaking up play and trying to set the tempo but couldn’t get anything going.
  22. Don’t really understand how you can blame Pearson today, it’s the same players making the same mistakes that have thrown it away. We’re mentally weak, really struggle to handle any adversity which is only going to be changed by refreshing the squad, which can’t happen any time soon.
  23. Another lethargic performance from Vyner. There’s never any urgency from him to do anything, jogs about and dangles his foot into challenges. All 3 centre backs were poor today but Vyner just isn’t up to standard.
  24. I would say the players falling apart like a rich tea in a cuppa played into Huddersfield’s hands far more than giving them 3 extra minutes of injury time in which we scored.
