  1. Plenty of us kicked off far before it went wrong, quite a few I know never went back after 25 yrs of mainly lower league shite too….Tan is a megalomaniac dictator who listens to no one. This is one of the reason the club loses £15 million every year. The useless billionaire as he’s fondly known these days. We will never be successful with him in charge which is why many want him gone.
  2. I haven’t seen bouncers on pub doors in the city centre daytime, stay away from the ones that attract football fans like spoons and you’ll be fine. There’s about 50,000 (mainly English or non welsh) students in cardiff aswell as shoppers from allover so I’d be amazed if an accent stopped you getting in anywhere….. go off the beaten track a bit maybe….
  3. Probably has a better atmosphere as the home fans who make noise are allowed to sit right by the away fans. We have a fool in control of the ground who won’t let singers stand or be near away fans so miles apart and rarely a decent atmosphere, another nail in the coffin. But hey it’s modern football, it’s not for me anyway.
  4. Yeah they are young chav types all started following them when they got the PL in 2010 as 9 yr old kids….clueless, classless and pointless. They still think acting up is cool and clever ffs. None will have even been to the vetch ffs…somewhere I’ve been about 10 times. Personally I’d be embarrassed as hell if we had fans like that now, I’m sure we do have some but us oldies reign them in and tell them it’s over, forget it it’s not 1987 anymore apart from the Liberty stadium.
  5. Is it? The centre is like a 1950’s nightmare, the most un appealing place to go out. Mumbles is alright but it considers itself as not part of swansea town.
  6. One of the main reasons being swansea is 20 years behind cities like Cardiff and Bristol when it comes to most things, we used to go there and take the piss through the 80’s and 90’s until independent travel was stopped and the bubble took over. They had a crew of some sort but mainly just disorganised pissheads no more than 100 or so. They probably have more now whereas most of the older soul crew are 50 odd and I’m not sure the younger generation can be arsed with the hassle, who in their right mind could? Plenty of ours went to jail after a battle v Chelsea in fa cup 2009 was it? A fine police set up. Moving ground also changed it for many, some I knew never went again. Cardiff and Bristol had many battles over the years but probably none in the last 10/15 yrs. I guess we’ve both evolved and moved on unlike the pikies in the forgotten city out west.
  7. Young man dies a terrible death alone on his way to sign for a club that would set him up for life, he never even kicked a ball for us. it begs belief. Millwall fans were doing plane gestures yesterday, even Southampton fans were banned doing it a few months after the event. There are some messed up people among us.
  8. Yes that saw off a lot, set up by the police I think over 100 were banned or jailed for a bit of handbags on kings rd. 5 & 10 yr bans for another clash with West Ham. It’s just not worth it anymore is it, not that it ever was. Didn’t a few of your fans get done for smashing up the great western pub by cardiff central a few years ago? We’ve all got them hey
  9. Embarrassing behaviour from some of our fans…..
  10. Please take him, we will pay for the limo….
  11. I really not got a clue but happier to be playing away than at home at present! Just glad we haven’t got the dinosaur mick Mac in charge playing five centre backs….
  12. Good start by having the pub for away fans by temple meads not open…..hmmm could lead to folks wandering around
  13. We’ve won 2 games at home….one being a last minute winner
  14. You beat us at our place, we need to return the favour sorry lads…..besides we are woeful at home and much better away this season. I think we have the worst home record in the entire league…..moreover a win for us will suck you guys down to the squeaky side a bit more
  15. Our ground is set up all wrong, the main home end should be swapped to behind the other goal so it’s next to the away fans. The ground manager won’t let this happen though. It would make for a much better atmosphere. I’ve sat next to away fans at the Ccs in what is unbelievably the family stand, the kids get to hear all sorts of lovely language and references to being Welsh, fortunately my two young ones struggle to comprehend the northern/brummie accents so didn’t pick up on what was being said. Loads of fans who take their kids have complained but it falls on deaf ears. Sure, the odd idiot will get nicked and banned if we swapped the ends, but I dont think think anyone really fancies going down these days for handbags inside the stadium. as noisy as you think you are in the away end, the main contingent of cardiff fans can’t hear you and vice versa….
  16. No offence lads but today won’t be your day, flint and pack to score and tomlin off the bench a last minute free kick. Enjoy the trip home to the lovely city of Bristol
  17. Amongst quite a few victories for us, the playoff in 2003 for one
  18. Still remember him running past me, he did well to be fair dodging a whole load of stuff heading his way. id like to think we’ve put a few back your way since that bad day......
  19. Yes as we thought, the scum agent put him in that plane.
  20. Which is exactly why it’s got so bad in Italy, all the kids went off to stay with grandparents and infected them. Not just that, initially families all went off on holiday when schools shut spreading it everywhere.
  21. My neighbour is a doctor and he tells me it’s not that easy to catch anyway, it’s hardly prolific at the moment is it? Pneumonia is rough and always takes out a good few oldies every week anyway. In three weeks the schools close anyway for a few weeks as do most colleges and universities I think? Good time to assess the situation better I guess.
  22. It was warnocks dealings with the very dodgy agent willie mackay that led to all this possibly. Why were WM’s two kids signed by us, but never played or hardly seen? I actually wish like many fans I know wish we had paid the initial 5 million, but it’s all in the hands of the lawyers and the club were apparently told not too. I’d be amazed if any club went against legal advice. Also, Nantes have refused to even talk to ccfc since the tragedy. They have a very dodgy chairman who all their fans hate. I’m amazed they haven’t enquired into why Sala was put in that dodgy flight with an un qualified pilot, but they haven’t, they just want the cash. If it weren't for us taking this course of legal action against them then those individuals whether agents or representatives of Nantes FC who contributed to this tragedy would go unchallenged. No-one else seems bothered to uncover the facts.. I’m glad we are searching for the answers to finding those responsible for the poor guys death.
  23. As there is basically no gap between us geographically, there was constant battles through the mid 80’s between us and newport. They would turn up un announced on a Saturday lunchtime or a Cardiff would stop there on the way back from a game. some very violent encounters, weapons, knives and jail for those who were caught. It went far deeper than just football. Newport couldn’t follow Wales back then, a bit like Swansea, but they did show up now and then and it would kick off like in Milan (about 30 of them had a go at 60/70 cardiff, they came off badly but were never afraid to have a go unlike the sly jacks). cardiff May have come to Newport that day for some fun but they’d never be with newport, ever.
