  1. They've already "lost" a player or two, both to us
  2. Love the bloke on there, proper Bristol accent, does the traffic gert proper: "Free mile 'awld up on the A Firty Eigh' and there's un accident on the A Free o Free .... "
  3. Tony Bloom, mate. Ducker n diver. Likes a flutter. Nudge, nudge. Say no more.
  4. Thing is, they're being chased by Man City. Whereas when Leicester were on the brink they were being chased by Spurs, which is like being chased down by Larry Grayson/a hamster/something not-scary
  5. Thanks, mate. Can you let us know what time MOTD is on this evening?
  6. We are depressingly conservative and sheep-like in this sort of thing. Take away cider and Wurzels songs and we are pretty much Reading. There's just so little of the independent attitude that you get in Manchester, Liverpool and others who would sooner be silent than copy others' songs, and define themselves by not being anything like any London clubs.
  7. Dunno, mate. A lot of competition for that award at Elland Road
  8. One way of looking at this (club) could be asking: If they did not exist would they be missed (other than by blokes that like "edge" when they go to football)? If Millwall had never existed would English football and its history be diminished?
  9. Option 3 for me, 10th to 6th. Although I wouldn’t call 11th or 12th "failure." Mind, if they Green 'Uns come up and storm into 5th or 6th I will be fuming
  10. Really? I don't think @Mr Popodopolous would
  11. You don't remember any other City manager thanking us for our support?
  12. Absolutely furious about Brighton's capitulation this evening, and absolutely delighted we (probably) won't be seeing Everton here or going there.
  13. They had their "We won L1" parade today. It rained.
  14. Staying at Everton on wages they cannot afford running down their contract, refusing to budge, a large Winston Bogarde, while Everton burn and fold, will be like no other example. Their lives, and those of their nearest and dearest, will not be worth living. Not going to happen. The level of anger will be off the scale. Can't see it happening.
  15. It’s not 1985, I feel obliged to point out here
  16. Thing is though, with them gone, who now are the blandest (southern) club in the Championship?
  17. I can now see, on the last day of the PL season, at about 4.50pm, Everton conceding the goal that condemns them to relegation and a visit from our good selves next season, whilst, simultaneously, Haaland scores two in a minute to first equal, then break, Dixie Dean's goal scoring record held since 1928.
  18. Well, there's also a wider trend across the country with attendances high at all levels, including sub L2. People are just going to football in numbers everywhere currently. Whisper it, but Rovers are getting as many, or more, at third tier level than we got under Osman in the second tier. Which tells you something (but not necessarily what a Fewer might tell you)
  19. Immediately turn off or over now upon hearing "Wrexham" on the radio.
