which tub of chocolates does it for you
Med/MadHatter replied to redsquirrel's topic in General Chat
I make my own chocolates, funny how all the fillings are alcohol based -
Christmas Eve tradition for me is a bottle of Bristol Cream with a big cigar whilst watching all of Porridge, tv series and film.

Thanks mate, I'll be ok, selling up our house and buying a huge Coach/ RV next year, will keep travelling until I drop

I just wish the City squad had as much fight in them as I do

Well I'm 60, I wear a mask when outside the house I do my thing to protect other people, I don't go anywhere apart from food shop where I go in the quiet hours and use self checkout, have had cancer , brain aneurysm, many multiple fractures- major ones, so I see life a little differently I guess but agree whole heartedly about seeing City in the Premier league, I did see the old First Division days but most of my memory has been wiped after my stroke

Nope, a disease with the huge survival rate it has won't make me take something I don't want in my body, I take my chances the same with every other disease out there, something will kill me one day, don't care what it is

Well here in Alberta Canada, you are basically hamstrung to do anything but food shopping if you haven't been double jabbed, you then get a QR code issued that is then used to be scanned for entry in to any public business. I'm about to lose my job as it's 1500km away from home and I have to fly there, but as I'm not jabbed I can't use the planes. I remember Gulf War syndrome and the effects that "vaccine" had, so sorry not sorry I'm opting out until I feel there's enough evidence that it will benefit me

I'm proud to say that the only time I've heard Ed Sheeran sing was when he was on Game of Thrones , over here in Western Canada it's all rock or country so no Ed and never heard Adele either, or One Direction! I think I've been lucky to escape, I dunno ?

Concentration probably, a bigger nicotine buzz than cigarettes, maybe old time players used to advertise it? Dunno really, I think really it's still a thing because you aren't allowed to smoke in lots of jobs over here,I work in the oilfield so it's very popular as we aren't allowed to smoke, lots of other jobs similar

Chewing tobacco is still pretty popular over here in Alberta, bloody gross when the chewers spit out the waste

Fulham at home match-day thread

Probably not as our defence us allergic to crosses! -
I was wearing one in 1979 when I started work with Magger

Have been using Firesticks for years, very handy, I have my free streaming apps on there so I can watch practically any film or tv shows for free when I'm working away from home in Northern Canada ( I can't access BBC iplayer here), there are many videos on YouTube to show you how to set them up, it's very simple, if you decide to go this route I would recommend using Real Debrid it gets all the best feeds so no buffering and costs about 30 Euros a year. If you need any info just holler

They have been down the promote from within for many years and have stagnated somewhat, they haven't gone the Ashton way, they've just slowly slipped away since Schaaf stepped away from Head Coach and of course their best players being sold all the time, so many parallels and like City they need a fresh approach, new management and coaches

Used to love going to the Weserstadion 2001 through to 2005 when I lived and worked in Bremen, walking from Paddys Pit in the town, up beside the river, great atmosphere, loved the huge pile of empty beer bottles outside the stadium when you were entering! Abusing Bayern players who stayed in the hotel I lived in, and the shock on Owen Hargreaves face when he heard a few English voices giving him dogs abuse when he got close to where we were in the stadium , good times. I'm afraid Bremen as a club need a complete structural overhaul now, much like City, hope they return to the top flight soon but I fear the worst for them tbh

Had a couple cans of Tartan in Castle Park before going to see my first match at Ashton Gate, foul stuff (the beer), but the big black Tartan ashtrays in the pubs were a thing of beauty!

I used to go to The Horseshoe when I was Shield House doing first year Engineering for my apprenticeship

Probably 39.99, didn't Eddie say it wouldn't be 40 quid?

Minter was my hero up to that point, I wish I had never met him later in life though, ruined my perception
-
Marvin Hagler, the man who inspired me to start boxing as a feisty young boy, the man I wanted to beat to be World Champion, the man who was denied a proper ring celebration when he beat Minter to a pulp to win the Championship by the idiotic London crowd, the man who served up the most brutal fight with Tommy Hearns in Middleweight history. Rest in Peace Sir, my hero, my inspiration, the best, thankyou for everything x

I remember that place, but I was always already drunk before I entered there, so have absolutely no idea if the beer any good or not
