I didn’t go tonight. Mainly because it was a ballache trying to fit it around family commitments this week (wife has Covid), but also because no one seemed to want to be up front about who we’d actually be watching and it became pretty obvious it wasn’t going to be anything close to the first team.

Edit: to be clear that’s a criticism of Chippenham and City, not you lot!

Im struggling with who's who. Under 19s I think

  2. Not sure what's gone on but if it was us I'd be fuming! Should be at least 5 added, got 3. Played 2:53 (in possession) . Ref and 4th official prepared to be quite clear on there support of anything non-english . Great tie. City should have won it in 90 and that's on them. But some suspect stuff at the end there. A free kick not given on sterling/grealish (one of them) also a real wonder. Fingers crossed for Liverpool as they now represent the best in England. City could understandably crumble in the league now

Agreed although would’ve been nice to see one or two more leave.

Same, Palmer and wells should have gone.

Not down NP but this but it would have ment better options in the summer.

  4. I haven't spoken to one single person that is positive about this.

On so meny levels this should be boycotted .

It's a shame as for once i actually think we will do well (that's what kills you right)

Racist, homophobic country that still uses slaves, yeah they can have it ?

How can players associate themselves with it, unbelievable hypocrisy. Can't take the knee turn a blind eye at the same time.

I'll try not to watch but will be hard if we do well. I haven't seen England win anything in my time

  5. It's interesting to read different views on this. personally I don't think COVID has ever been a good enough reason to implement the kind of rules that have been put in place, this thread is proof of that. Plenty of you guys are using common sense, and we should be trusted to do so. That's how this society has always worked. They say how it is and we assess our personal situation and make a call. If that means 10k at home, good! Those 10k shouldn't be seeing there nan the next day.

My involvement isn’t really relevant for me to have the opinion I hold but since you ask, I was involved under Sod & Burt and then Cotterill & Burt to the extent that I’d have dialogue with sod or Burt on a pretty much weekly basis. Our conversations and recommendations led to the signings of Flint, Pack, Ayling, Freeman.
I’m no longer involved due to a young family and no longer having the time to travel the country watching games. I still get about when I can but I no longer consult. I do however still have many contacts from the network of scouts, agents, players, managers I built up back then, so am still well-informed as to some of the ongoings in our recruitment team.

Should be a Leeds or Cardiff scout then ?

No doubt Pearson will be given some time- he has two weeks now to work with the players before Blackburn and to be fair our next 6 games look ok

    Blackburn h

    Stoke h

    sheff utd a

    Derby h

    hull a

    huddesfield h

If he picks up 8-9 points then will that appease everyone?

Nice to get a point from Stoke or Blackburn, Derby a must win. Hull a must not get beat. At present, I'd take those 4/5 points. We need 21/22 more points to stay up this season.
