The Coronavirus and its impact on sport/Fans Return (Merged)

Yep, it’s not uncomfortable because it’s uncomfortable, it’s uncomfortable because it’s different. Asian countries, and Asians in western countries, have been wearing masks constantly for years. -

It will only be the 'future' for so long. Perhaps this full season will be a write off, but after that it'll be back. -

Is a business support scheme possible from the EFL at all? They borrow money, knowing full well that they will have continued income and stability, and use it to help smaller clubs if and when needed? -

If they’re offering that of course. Cardiff are not. -

In that case were likely going to be able to see 2/3s of the games each, on rotation. Think we’d sold around 12,000. -

Two Fulham players and one Blackburn player tested positive. Over 1000 tests completed. -

Done by clubs but sent to EFL who organise actual sample testing. -

@phantom came in with a pedantic sweep of about 4 posts. In doing so he added zilch to the conversation. Just came in with posts full of capital letters. Yes I’d understand if they was obviously misrepresenting of information, with a clear agenda but that wasn’t the case. Almost appears like we jumps on any mistake (tiny mistake at that) to make himself feel good and important. Just so he can shout people down. That’s my problem. -

What admissible difference does it make whether it’s was 748 players or players+staff tested. Absolutely none -

Okay you pedant. Your point is ******* irrelevant. Still stands that of 748 tested, only 6 came back positive. -

Well they’ll move them. Nightingale not at the O2 anyway. I seriously doubt huge international conferences will be a thing for a while, so the ExCel centre won’t be needed. It would be silly to get rid of the Nightingales too quickly. They might even get rid of a few and keep sizeable regional Nightingales, with immediate capability of converting more if needed. -

I agree. There’s yet to be sizeable ‘second waves’ in any of the countries relaxing lockdown. On a different not, 6 of 748 premier league players have tested positive. Two and a half weeks ago 12 bundesliga players tested positive. That’s a good sign I think. -

It’s not the news articles that matter in this case. They’re just speculation. Scientific journal articles do matter. They tell us the truth, and what is known. -

More. The argument was that because players would have been given training programmes to do at home it could be considered working. In turn this would have meant that the government furlough scheme wouldn’t have applied because they’d be seen to be working from home. -

Watch pandemic on Netflix, scarily accurate. Was released 22nd January, but filmed over the last 2 years. -

Not realistic though is it. That graph shows us following in a straight line from day 1 to now. No other country has done that. Now if the gaps on the graph were equally spaced it would really scare people. -

Very long planning process. If I remember correctly the initial redevelopment went through very quickly.
