  1. As long as Derbyshire is safe ...
  2. With pleasure!! Good results for Derby (24th) on Saturday, they beat Preston and Barnsley (22nd) drew with Reading (21st). Last night Reading really put the boot in with a win, to make it an unbeaten 4 in a row. Reading now on 37 points, Barnsley on 29, Derby on 28 and Peterborough on 27. All played 40 except Barnsley on 39. In order to overtake Reading, Derby need to take 9 more points over six games, that's 1.5 points a game, some task. More interestingly, Derby can only do this by winning at least three games or wining 2, drawing 3 and losing one, assuming that Reading get no more points. Based upon that scenario the earliest that Derby can get relegated is on Saturday 23 April ... Assuming all results go against them it could be Friday 15 April against Fulham. Of course Derby also need to get one more point than Bansley to finish ahead of them, and one less than Peterborough to stay ahead of them.
  3. Just a quick updste from me, six months since my beloved partner passed away. Life is difficult and always will be. The pain changes over time. Everyone on here has been brilliant. Work has been absolutely wonderful. I spent most of this week at Head Office. Every one of the senior management team passed me by and expressed delight at seeing me and hope for the futuire. I flew home tonight feeling that people cared. But most importantly a very, very junior member of my team lost their mother last week in tragic circumstances. We chatted about our losses and just now I had a message from their father thanking me. I'm in bits again. But life is better. For all of you in pain please use us all. Message or chat anytime, please!
  4. These are loan notes issued by MSD UK Holdings Ltd, in other words they receive cash, probably from MSD (Tax Haven) Ltd. The reason that they are quoted on a stock exchange is that any interest that is paid on them is exempt from UK taxation if it is received by a non-UK resident. MSD UK will lend the funds received to a borrower, say DCFC, at at interest rate such that it makes a reasonable margin, which is taxed in the UK.
  5. I was wrong, something may have happened. Rumours that Appleby has left the party. Looks like there are no bidders and maybe some uninterested parties. Couldn't make it up.
  6. Latest update from Quantuma. Not even worth posting. Nothing to say, nothing is happening.
  7. The agreed decision with Derby contains the following order: "vii) Make no changes to reporting entities for P&S purposes or accounting treatments without full prior disclosure and written agreement from the EFL." I think that that helps significantly,
  8. Depends upon their definition of 'Preferred', and how desperate things are. I am sure that there is brinkmanship on all sides, and Quantuma may pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat, But if it is correct the 9 May is a very hard deadline, they have six weeks to go, that's it.
  9. Didn’t take long - I wonder how many lurk? It would help if they had actually read what I wrote! Plus don’t tell them that I live closer to Pride Park than most Derby fans do.
  10. The original fee was £3 million I believe in Administrator’s fees and other professional charges. Yes - once due notice is given - plus a suspended three point penalty for Derby and a further sanction. Technically 31 March …
  11. Season ticket receipts whilst cash are actually for the next season. Normally it would be cashflow, but Administrators are in a trickier position. Central funds will only be released where it is clear that there is not a requirement to meet football creditors. My understanding is that 90% of EFL clubs would have to agree, I reckon that only 7 need to vote against, as Derby don't get a vote as they are not a member. There is one guaranteed vote against, the club that would otherwise not be relegated. Not sure I would bet on less than six clubs saying no.
  12. Funding had to be agreed to complete the football season, that ends for Derby on Saturday 7 May. The funding does exactly what it says on the tin. There are no significant funds available after that date until the season starts again in August. Or staff wages in May onwards.
  13. I have been told today that there will be no money left on Monday 9 May at the latest, and there are no other sources. So DCFC will complete the last game of the season, but without a new owner by Sunday 8 May the club will fold. I was also told that there isn't an offer on the table that meets the amount needed to pay off the MSD loans (both in Administration and before), so there is no money for any other creditors as things stand.
  14. Except that we are coming up to the 31 March FFP deadline for future financial information, including details of how any losses are to be funded. However any punishment is limited to embargo and budgets, so no change there.
  15. 2.6% p.a. There's an implication in the speed of that response!
  16. If you are a cynic like me, and read it a certain way, the grammar works with one bid and one expression of interest .... Looking like League 1 with a 15 point deduction next season.
  17. And the latest - 'believe' 'end of week' sounds familiar! A statement from Team Derby says Quantuma “believe” they’ll be in a position to name a preferred bidder by the end of the week. “Quantuma confirmed there are multiple bids and expressions of interest, and are now in the final stages of clarification”
  18. Interesting stuff, will BAWT be on the conspiracy list next ??? It also has a flaw in the scenarios. Assume that £20 million is available in the administration after fees, that legally is due to MSD. If MSD decide not to collect in the administration and the funds go elsewhere they would have real difficulty in collecting elsewhere or on a personal guarantee as the loss arises purely from MSD's own actions, not those of the guarantors.
  19. Looking good for Derby County at 3pm today. Another point picked up, and Barnsley lost. At 5 pm things are looking rather desperate. Reading won at home against Blackburn. So Derby County started the season 15 points behind Reading and with 7 games remaining are 8 points adrift. Now Derby need 8 points more than Reading from 7 remaining games, oh and they also need to get 3 points more than Barnsley, I've also learnt a new excuse for delay. Apparently failing a self-imposed deadline 'in good faith' is fine.
  20. It is clear that the Administrators vastly oversold their ability to sell the club/assets and have even more appallingly under delivered. There is a reason that none of the well known accountants and insolvency firms were interested in taking on the high profile media aware appointment - reputational risk. That is coming to Quantuma. The odd rumour I hear is that the whole DCFC organisation is in meltdown.
  21. I doubt that FFP is the primary concern at this time!
  22. is finding someone who actually wants to buy the club who they actually want to sell to! Latest statement from Quantuma: "The joint administrators are in active dialogue with prospective purchasers of the club and are working with their advisers to clarify a number of matters relating to their bids. "Due to the complex nature of the mechanics of the bids received, it is necessary for us to work through each of these matters individually, to ensure the bids meet our terms of purchase. "Whilst we understand the frustration of fans, who are understandably anxious that the Club’s future is resolved, we remain confident that we will be in a position to name a preferred bidder shortly. "We welcome the support received from the EFL yesterday and will continue working with them, and everyone who has the Club’s best interests at heart, to secure the best long-term outcome for Derby County."
  23. Latest from the Administrators - something might happen ... um ... *searching for new word* ... shortly. Fresh statement issued by Derby County's administrators over naming preferred bidder - Derbyshire Live (derbytelegraph.co.uk) Anyone interested in running a sweepstake on the next word used?
  24. After a couple of recent wins a second consecutive loss for Derby - they are running out of games. An easy way to look at it is that Derby started the season 15 points behind Reading, to catch up it was an extra 1/3 points per game over Reading's result. Now they are only 8 points behind, but have only 12 games left so that has moved out an extra 2/3 points per game, the rate has doubled. Another issue is that Barnsley have won 3 in 5 and are now back ahead of Derby, so even if Reading go into meltdown, Derby still need to better Barnsley's results.
  25. Just back from the match and a good catch up and pints and a meal with a Forest fan. Darren Fletcher was on the next table, apparently, I had no idea. Their thoughts were - 1. Having Pring marking both Djed Spence and Brennan Johnson for large parts of the game on his own was an interesting tactical choice - didn't really work in his view 2. City looked like they were on their summer break already 3. Cundy did a great job on Davis.
