Weimann completely stopping to appeal rather than hacking it clear was frankly astounding.

After 90 minutes, with the ref not giving decisions “our way” and Weimann already booked for arguing with the ref? Play to the whistle ffs. Don’t stand there with your arms in the air crying for a free kick. Clear the ball then remonstrate.

Might be tired after running around all game but once again it is a lack of concentration / application at a key point that has let us down.

Guess we know which team drove the FA cup pricing.

Yes we do. It was Bristol City.

Both clubs having to agree on ticket pricing hasn’t been a thing for a few years now so it’s set by the home club without consultation.

    My thoughts as well.

We lack pace & not only does he give us that, he’s not some lightweight kid, either.

I would have had him on the bench recently & would like to see him getting an opportunity, he got 2 v Forest Green then 10 minutes or so at Boro then others were preferred.

I like the look of him.

The lack of any attacking players on the bench also mean the opposition know a) how we are going to play from kick off and b) that we only change our style based upon the tiring players at our disposal.

Good teams can easily try and game manage first half by getting Martin/Wells to chase down lost causes and then by 60 minutes they’re both shot. So we rely upon AW or someone like COD only to press and it’s easy for them to just push us back.

Yep, our home form is rubbish, but why do people add on three months when we didn’t actually play any games?!

Because that is how to explain a period of time. Using predefined and understandable denominators.

By your logic of excluding passages of time where we aren’t actively playing home games, we have only gone 16 days without a home win. Which is nice. What is everyone complaining about?

  5. Why are the away team lineups no longer either read or even displayed on the screen?

Is it not within our announcers gift to pronounce them? Not everyone has a smart phone in the ground which enables them to check the lineups themselves.

As a group of 5 we now just refuse to drink in the ground from this season, £5.60 for a flat tepid pint served in plastic. New pies are also crap and overpriced. As others have alluded to Ashton Gate full stop is overpriced for any casual punter and their family.

Catering pricing is no different to any other ground of similar size - the casual punter won’t go and find a local pub / park wall to drink on. They’ll be attending a game at a football ground and embracing that experience.

Plus the range of drinks available at Ashton Gate is superior to a lot of the rubbish basic bottled ranges we experience at away games around the country.

Disappointed with the comments on here.

Yes Morris and Pearce took the proverbial but how sad for a once great club.  Lots of good people up here will be mourning tonight and worried about their jobs

    Because of shyster owners.

If football doesn’t learn from the ongoing failures of clubs, how many in the future will suffer the same fate?

  8. At least - if SL wanted to - it’s a lot cheaper to address shortcomings with the women’s team.
For the cost of one Nahki Wells (& a lot of persuasion) you could build an entire squad of elite players in an attempt to reach the top fast.

  9. Because I’ve not thought of any other way to include it in conversation today so far… might as well post this here.
Green Man Ultra completed on Saturday. Bristol is quite large when you circle it all….

  10. Went to cricket today on a rolled over ticket from Eng v Australia last summer.

Shall not be returning to anything there for a while.
Toilet provision awful for a known attendance. 15-30 minute queues for them.

When rolling over ticket from 2020 to 2021 (ie not enforcing a refund) we were  promised a £10 voucher to spend in the ground. Two days before they changed this to a £10 ticketmaster credit on future games. Without discussion.

Can’t help the weather - although abandoning the game at 4pm when it was sunny not much later and bone dry outside by 530 suggests the ground itself just isn’t cut out for hosting anything with ambition.

    All in a “meh” experience

50K update, it was bloomin hot, a canal tow path is very tricky to run on when its this dry, I survived, not sure I can face that distance again...?

Gloucester? I’d seen that and contemplated it but missed the sign up.

    fair play!

Maybe they pitched the prices too high? Or maybe it's just the odd single ticket dotted around that's still available? Either way I am looking forward to it. Table booked in the Coopers pre-game too

Upper Lansdown has lots of 2/3 blocks.

I looked and was tempted but not for £50 really.

Who's got tickets for the game on Monday v. Glos then? Managed to get a pod of 3 in the Dolman. Food & Drinks concessions open. Get in.

Seems like it will be going to general sale today. Surprised.

Nerdy Strava data news: you can now do a search on your old rides in the app

Go to activities and then magnifying glass on top right and there are now some search functions

And it also now auto tags your location, which helps.

I (used to) travel with work and would manually have to bang locations into the description to find stuff later. Which was annoying.

Being able to search / filter by distance etc is such a basic function it’s baffling it’s taken so long!
