  1. This is my other one. I remember this like yesterday. The atmosphere was one of the best.
  2. Have been looking at some great away highlightes from the 70s. This is probably one of the best I remember and up there with one of the great travel experiences watching our great team play away. I was just a young lad at the time. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=YdAR0Dqu&id=D2EAB635CC56EF889B72D232B742D4165437DB5A&thid=OIP.YdAR0Dqu4IlKhRILTbfToQHaFj&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fi.ytimg.com%2fvi%2fuW70X4FRYAA%2fhqdefault.jpg&exph=360&expw=480&q=bristol+city+debut+division+one+against+arsenal&simid=608005676634088352&FORM=IRPRST&ck=1F1F559FDB5FE91986D12AB5E0272404&selectedIndex=0
  3. Big Tone I here is around and give him a curry it could be him up to the challenge. Or even Dave Fes,?
  4. I think it is now called the Abbotswood inn. I should of been a bit more honest on my previous post about the 002. I remember back in 1983 I met a Yate girl in the south of France. When we got back from France I met her at the 002. Little did I know at the time she was also engaged to one of the regulars at the pub. I had a bit of a dust up and scrap and wow it bloody hurt. There was her fiance and two of his mates. Any way we are now married and been married for 37 years and live in OZ. Every time we go back I make sure I have a pint in the 002. All pubs re great in the UK.
  5. Well I would of been a young 14 year old back then. I cant remember it. The ITV archive though has bought back some great memories
  6. Have a great day out red army. I always remember when my dad took me to away ones in the 70s and 80s, oxford, west brom, west ham, spurs, for me they are great memories. Keep safe and all the best
  7. Thank you for the great update. I think it will be a 3 pointer for us. COYRedsss
  8. Concorde in Stockwood and the 002 in Yate. Many years ago I grew up in the Concorde and got a bashing in the 002. When back in 2019 had a few pints in both. They are still there and they bought back some great memories. Any of you on here know Stockwood from the late 70s and early 80s they would know a pub called the Man In Space and in my teens drank a lager called Tubourg Gold, my other two mates drank Toby Bitter and Bass Special. Interesting too know if these brewes are still around.
  9. Just streaming live broadcast on my I Pad and listening through my Sonos. I do not do this often though due to the Ozzie time difference with Bristol being 7 hours at this time of the year. I.E 3.00PM in Bristol is 10.00PM in Perth. Night matches are even harder as it is around 3.0 AM for us. Do you have Foxtel ? when the matches are on SKY in the UK you can get them on Foxtel Sports on Be In Channel 2.
  10. Have had no issues accessing Radio Bristol with games or at any other time on the internet in OZ. What ever they broadcast there is no issues. In regards to limitations you probably are correct but surely an old fart radio station going back many years would know what they can and not broadcast in regards to limitations etc, I still listen to RB in OZ on the weekends and the station gives me some memories on how good Bristol is.
  11. I did want to agree with you. However he turned the game on its head for Millwall
  12. Millwall 2 BCFC 3. Goal scorers - Afobe 2 for Millwall. For us Casey 1, Wiemann 2. For those that travel so far away I wish you all the best as those travelling away to the Den in the middle of the week you all deserve a medal.
  13. Australia has more rain than the UK especially in the northern parts which are in tropocal climates. Tile roofs are not common down under either and they are usually colourbond. Most that have had them installed in their homes have losed money as their investment has not paid back. We looked at installing this on a shopping center in Alice Springs. Alice has the best climate, clear skys and more sunshine than any other Australian City. We had Enginners, QS,s on board and we could still not get the pay back required. We were sitting on a pay back period of 3.2 years.
  14. Do not do it mate. There are cowboys around the world installing these and a fact is that if not installed correctly there is no pay back too the consumer especially common with domestic installations. A typical domestic one in OZ costs $3,900.00 and it takes years to get back your IOR (Investment on return) Most dwellings experience on going roof leaks after installations as well. Panels unless maintained I.E cleaned regularly turn yellow and brown and the capacity of sun and yes you do need sun or at least day light with no low cloud cover your solar panel investment on pay back grows longer and longer.
  15. Very understandable and also very true. Emotional times affect people in different ways. We all need support in our lives and we all need to make sure we ask the question are you OK.
  16. Great post Dave. Gees there are some miserable buggers on here like DP. I look at the positivies this season and we are doing OK. We could be doing better but 12th is not too bad. It is a tough league and we are showing more potential this season than the last two. We can only get better from here.
  17. Loftus Road, known as the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium since 2019, is an all-seater football stadium in White City, London, England, which is home to Queens Park Rangers. In 1981, it became the first stadium in British professional football to have an artificial pitch of Omniturf installed. This remained in use until 1988, after which a natural grass pitch was reintroduced.
  18. Tough one for us today away. QPR are on a 3 3 1 win, draw and lose ratio. We are on a 2 3 2. Are away form as we know is good. The bookies have QPR as the most probable winners. However for me a 2-2 result would be quite good for us and I have everything crossed for us to sneak away from the hoops stadium with 3 points especially if we keep COD back on the bench and let him loose in the second half. COYRedssssss and the almost 2K of you today visiting London have a bloody good time, keep singing, drink some cider, look out for one another , enjoy a City win and most importantly keep safe
  19. I know. But did you hear the rumour about butter ? Well I-am not going to spread it
  20. It should of been a 3 pointer playing at home. OK things are getting better but still a few more years I think before we celebrate Prem at BS3. There are some positives in comparison to the last two seasons. We could still be playing some players in the wrong positions. I trust in NP for this season any way and most likely next season in the same league. we are playing now better and it is like a bloody carrot is being dangled in front of us for better things to come. However no carrots seem to be fully produced as yet.
