  1. It confirms that double jabs do work and have a big impact in life coming back to some kind of normality.
  2. Big P, Faith in governments and media is probably not the question here. It looks like that your push is against vaccine passports. We al know that you can still catch the virus even when you have had two jabs. Again as I have mentioned before having two jabs and this has been confirmed by governments and qualified people un like your self that two jabs assists you in going about your day to day businness and routine , watching football at Ashton Gate which alas me being where I -am may not happen again in the near to distant future, going shopping, going to the pub etc gives you the comfort you have done the correct thing by society, your mates and your family. I need to get back to the UK and what ever the government states and this will be similar across the world is that you need to present proof like a passport that you have had two jabs of what ever vacinne it is. I will have no problem complying. my second Phizer is in two weeks time which takes me out to almost the maximum time line between the three week and six week period. Australia is in desperate need for Phizer and there is a massive short full in what is avilable. I think you will find that there is no hidden agenda with any governments. I try and think positive going forward and support any government in any country that is trying too the right thing in mitigating deaths in their respective countries. Risks from jabs is very very very low and to me the risk if any far out ways death from what is horrible with Covid.
  3. well big p and not sure what P stands for. Mate if you have had two jabs and yes you can still catch this infection. However it prevents you from kicking the bucket and this is good for your family and friends is it not? A covert passport makes sure that you and your mates watching a football match at Ashton Gate gives you the mind set that you have done the right thing. The passport mate is what is going to happen going forward as this disease is not going away.
  4. oops spello mistake it is Mr In between.
  5. What comes around eventually comes around. Any of you guys seen a programme filmed in OZ called the insiders. Who needs a court.
  6. He will probably blame it on stress as he has to manage a football team that in the short term is going nowhere
  7. It is a fasinating subject. When I was an apprentice Electrician 0ne week in four was spend at South Bristol Technical College. One of the other guys in our class was colour blind. His was with red and green. At that time red was the live active conductor and green was the earth conductor. We all chipped in and helped him where we could. During the end of our four year apprenticeship the green earth conductor was gradually phased out and it changed to green and yellow. This helped him and many other electricians. He still works as a sparky in Bristol today.
  8. Unfortunately Rovers are part of Bristol Football and always will be, I remember the old days when they played at Eastville and their end then was the tote end. I also recall some derby matches in the 70,s and the interaction and the battels on the pitch and off the pitch. They are a team and club that have always struggled and been second fiddle to the OTIB. And we know amongst us the the club that who is located at BS3 will always be known as the football club associated with the city of Bristol. I know this might seem a bit weird but they are now in League two and those of us old enough that means the old fourth division. they have been there before and dropped down to the Conference around 2013/14 and came good. I was impressed that they have just signed Harvey Soundess and Aaron C. it shows that they are still around and still fighting to maintain quality football in Bristol. They will always exist and we will always take the piss out of them. However not sure how we need to try and show them some resect or not on this forum. After all even though they are blue and dodgy pirates and originally called the black Arabs when they were formed its still good having them around to keep the banter live.
  9. well I have been red for 58 years. If there is an option to watch City then I will watch it over anything else. Terrible or not. Probably should not have mentioned the gas but we need to get the negatives out of this forum. I-am totally gutted how this season has panned out but looking forward to the next.
  10. you could always watch the gas you miserable ??
  11. Be positive mate. you may as well not bother streaming the match today with that way of thinking.
  12. That is why we will win. well lets hope so. Wow what a season that started of in hope and probably more true to the fact most of us knew we were never ready. I hope the lads do well today and I wish all the best to youngsters that may get a chance to wear the great red shirt today at Ashton Gate. it is a massive COYReds for me and next season will bring better fortunes.
  13. I care. How about if I said we might even win and no its too early OZ for me to get on the red wine yet. Give the young lads a run and see what happens.
  14. Hi BigTone, you did previously mention your mum was getting worse. Moving her up from Vic Harbor to Flinders means she will be getting the best care possible. And with your wife sick as well you must feel devastated. Those of us that are spread around the world and having family and friends at such difficult times and not being able to see them is a feeling of pain and even frustration. BigTone the most important thing is you need to stay positive and keep talking to people around you. I wish you all the best.
  15. Bad news. I remember on many occasions visiting the zoo in my younger years. I have fond memories of the zoo. When I was a kid the best ones for me were the seal feeding that usually occurred about 3.00pm. I also remember the two elephants that were there in the late 60,s and early 70,s. One was an African elephant and one was an Indian elephant, one had bigger ears than than the other and apparently this is the way you could tell by their origin. There was also an amusing story in the media some years back now where the bloke taking money for parking external to the zoo didn’t actually work for the zoo or the council. The zoo thought he was collecting money for the council and the council thought he was collecting money for the zoo. He must of made thousands over the years.
  16. Well the drivers do get paid probably a million a race where you driving down the M5 get nought. F1 drivers in the rain show which ones are worth it.
  17. Not sure what following they have back in the UK or how many watch them play. I love looking at the Bristol City progress. This week city 2 spurs 2. Chloe Logarzo only 25 years old scored and is a great prospect for the club, came from Sydney in oz and has great potential. The other City goal was from Ebony Salmon. I hope they receive the support back in the UK they deserve. Not sure if they play at BS3 or another home venue ?
  18. From your post you are a true city supporter just like me. Injuries effect all clubs, an inexperienced manager signed by the board for what ever reason is the question. DH is a good honest bloke and has great football knowledge, however we need to reach higher.
  19. Better applicants were brushed aside and the next few months will show the bad decision.
  20. Hey super we all want the best in regards to DH succeeding but he hasn’t got the experience of taking us up another level. I still cant get over why he was appointed 4/5 months back when it was common knowledge there were others that were interested in the roll and had experience in higher levels of football management. We had a good start to this season and recent games have proven unfortunately we have not progressed in what is probably one of the toughest leagues in Europe to get promotion from.
  21. Totally agree with James. I was not saying or bringing a comparison. I was just stating we are the best club in Bristol and always will be.
