Seems to me a great deal of hysteria on Otib today. We are not promotion material this season, despite some hyping it after Stoke win. We are also not relegation material. We have too much brio and too much talent for that. 1-0 away from home at ha.f time isn’t there d of the world, or the end of the afternoon eithet
Yeah but be honest we are being outplayed by a team in the bottom half. Hysteria is what it deserves

Yeah. Really depressing. We are so bad. Can’t remember a decent move

Half-Bakedinson

We keep playing the inside cut pass when playing out from the back but we’re not collectively good enough to make anything of it. Poor.
-
Bakinson thinks too slowly and is therefore useless in any traffic
-
We keep panicking in possession when weve passed it three times. It’s like the fourth passer doesn’t want to be called out as a swot

Why does the pitch look enormous when SU are in possession
-
We are sitting far too deep and inviting a siege mentality. We are using screeners in front of the back three instead of picking up the spare men. Looks desperate

Where’s Jimmy Hill when you need him?

Today as well as missing Pearson, we were without Baker, Atkinson, Semenyo, King and James. As for telling Lansdown to **** off, that is embarrassing. Blackburn is a huge game and I expect a changed City team to take the three points COYR
Yes, but on arriving at the club he made repeatedly bullish comments about the number of injuries in the squad and how it was a result of culture, mismanagement by medical/fitness staff and incompetence. Live by the sword die by the sword

Baffles me how we’ve kept one clean sheet in 16 games and the scapegoat is the striker
But any forward play is quickly turned. Into more pressure on us because of his terrible first touch and lack of grit

Better players around him.
Wes Burns scored for Ipswich

Troy Deeney or Chris Martin? Now who would we prefer?

If you put aside self-delusion, blind faith and wishful thing, we are shit. Passing is shocking, first touch shocking, tracking back shocking, positional play shocking. We play at League 1 pace.

But Chris Martin isn’t mobile enough to demand the ball into his feet. His movement is poor and his touch is unreliable.

There is a tactical, game awareness fault line in our play which allows teams again and again to get in on our box unopposed. When the ball is brought forward and developed down one flank we completely overload that side and a simple ball that switches the play leaves us completely exposed. It’s happened a lot this season

Martin has had a good game, just like to see Weimann & Wells up top against a team that are now going to attack us
Are you kidding. Every time the outlet ball goes up to him it comes back immediately and we are under pressure. No fight in him

He is deceptive on that front, puts in "Bolt like" sprints in 85th minute of games after looking done in for the previous hour.
Maybe when everyone else slows to his pace

If you take the five games so far, apart from anything else they have been pretty much decent games to watch.
Yep, breaks went against us v Swansea, went our way today. We are not the finished article yet and we are going to win a few and lose a few, but even given that, it’s a team that, well, looks like a team, battles and plays some decent stuff.
Win or lose, it’s fun again. And on days like today it’s more than that.
Falling in love again..We can play and the tempo is better. However we have to be more compact when faced with a team countering us. Even on a moderately paced break away we look too open. Second we have to do much better at shutting down crosses into the box. Cardiff’s Giles had a field day.

Weimann will get the headlines and probably MOTM, but I have to say I think Massengo, Baker, and Pring were exceptional today.
Where are the droves of doubters now who trashed Massengo. Couldn’t see his class early doors if it jumped up and bit them on the ass

Far to easy for any team, NP has got to work hard on getting them to stop it.
Exactly. Midfielders often drop back in to help the full back but it’s not an aggressive enough press and the cross comes in more often than not
-
It’s far too easy for them to get crosses into our box

Yes but Hope springs eternal. We sledgers know we are not a good side but at least we deserve some collective effort and a few half decent passing movements to warm the cockles on such a day. You see, it’s the dodgers who keep coming back each year, paying the money and having an opinion.
