  1. Have been taking my lads but they’re off to sit with their mates next year so going to not renew and POTD. Went to Peterborough away this year for an over night and enjoyed that so am going to use the money saved and pick a few away games next year. Not enjoying the match day experience as much anymore. Silly things could improve it as well. The quality of the food has dropped, the band always come on late( we get up to ground at one). No toilets outside when you are having a few beers in the sunshine. Busses unreliable leaving the ground. Have a new born as well so miss out on time with him but will join when he’s old enough to come and watch.
  2. He would be great in league 1. Would be a good move for him. He’s ok in championship but needs to be part of a settled defence where he is drilled in his roll.
  3. He met with club captain before leaving the ground for the last time and he said Ben, the two of us need look no more We both found what we were looking for With a friend to call my own I'll never be alone And you my friend will see You've got a friend in me (You've got a friend in me)
  4. I think he will get a new deal off set by losing Taylor Moore and Vyner from the wage bill. Would be interesting to see him in a four with Kalas at RB and Jay at LB. Not sure we have the right players fit to protect a back four though.
  5. Stayed and watched the players leave the pitch. The way Klose celebrated you’d have thought we’d won the champions league. Make no mistake we have not only a great player but a absolutely fantastic professional.
  6. Can you please use his full and proper title. “Sir Colin Daniel”
  7. We would cope without whoever we could sell for the most. Without getting hung up on what we think they are worth let’s say we got 10 million for Alex but only 5 million for either of the other two then 10 million would allow us to invest across more positions than selling a five million player. We lose a player but get a better squad.
  8. There have been many a thread debating this. We’ve had some real disasters worse than Danny that’s for sure.
  9. Lee Johnson - plays all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order. Potential for greatness but runs the risk of having a bright future behind him.
  10. This was done at one of the home games wasn’t it? They had all the pictures up on the big screen. Can’t remember what game or whether there was an applause but definitely had all the pictures up.
  11. Makes it easier for us to catch Bournemouth. ???
  12. Some of the questions are bordering on ridiculous sometimes and it’s cringe worthy how like you say a question has been asked and another journalist will repeat exactly the same question but word it slightly different. When he’s asked a sensible question he gives a sensible answer. There was an interview I listened to a while back with Andi Wiemann and the interviewer must have asked him about four or five times the same question and you start to doubt their journalistic professionalism.
  13. “I’ll be better by far in The Duke or The Star Than on the Old Pill Ferry tonight”
  14. Very true. There are a few residents in Portishead who see Pill as an inconvenience. ?
  15. I live in Pill and it would be great to hop on a train on match days into Ashton. I’m not sure if it really makes much difference if it is a train or a bus I just can’t see enough people using it to make it a financially viable option. Four of us drive and pay a tenner parking on match days and a couple of quid on fuel where as public transport is 20 pound. It doesn’t pay to catch public transport (unless we are having a few beers! ?) If the council and government are serious about getting cars off the road then whatever the alternative they provide it needs to be convenient and cheaper. Having to wait for nearly an hour for a bus if it turns up at all is not tempting people to using public transport.
  16. I would imagine RG stating that we may accept a points deduction is to underpin the value of our players in the transfer market. It takes away the intent of clubs to make low offers feeling we will accept them due to our situation. It allows us the room to hold our nerve for higher offers but there is no mistake in we will sell if those high offers are made.
  17. Some people are at their happiest when they are unhappy. I’ve noticed an improvement in recent weeks and can applaud that and enjoy it but God I reckon if we win the Champions League some would still pick faults! Didn’t go today as the wife gave birth last night but sounds like I missed a great game.
  18. Turned from bottom 6 to top 6! They sit 6th in a 12 team league so……….. have they moved at all? ?
  19. Just downloaded the sample on Kindle and read the first chapter. ?
  20. Not meaning to cause any offence but are you a Man United fan or is the book a good read in general? Looking for something to read so may take a look.
  21. Is experience over rated? We have a young side but if you are good enough then is that all that matters. Zak Vyner still gets branded as inexperienced yet he’s made nearly a hundred appearances in the Championship? Not a criticism of him in the slightest but at what number of games do people perceive someone to be experienced?
