  1. It is made easier for them due to the money they earn, a bloke who is working on minimum wage and has to provide for a wife and two kids wouldn’t have that chance at all.
  2. I think you are missing the point. MOST people aren’t able to put money over family welfare, SOME footballers can as they are paid obscene amounts of money.
  3. Many people are yes as they have no choice, they need to provide for their families. A lot of footballers can refuse to work as they are earning more than enough money to cover it.
  4. I hope you are fully recovered now if it was covid or not, hopefully an antibody test does appear and people do become immune that way longer lasting.
  5. Yes, you could be right then. Hopefully you are and this is the second wave if not a lot will die from the stats that’s obvious.
  6. As long as your ok that’s fine, don’t worry about others. What a lovely world we live in. If that is the case with your theory on November/December why has there only been a surge of deaths across Europe the last couple of months?
  7. It’s clear that covid risks a lot more than flu does, also like you said there are vaccines for those. Measles for example is normally 0 or 1 deaths per a year in the uk. Flu kills around 10k a year in the uk, we have hit triple that With covid in a few months with absolutely no clear sign when or how it will end. If football starts again without a vaccine and fans attending there will be quite a lot of people who simply won’t go. Someone with it sitting in a stand could infect a load of people.
  8. When a vaccine is found or we have 0 cases like New Zealand.
  9. It shows how football views itself and how money driven it is. Football should had been cancelled ages ago. I hope Boris reenforces the absolute shit position we are in instead of people thinking we are going back to normal.
  10. What you going to do offer covid 19 out in a one to one no weapons fight in the robins car park instead?
  11. A lot of normal people have to do that to earn money for their family, or are footballers too precious to be treated like everyone else?
  12. Purely for money, I’ve said it from the start it’s not to get the lads back in employment is it. No one has come out and said yet “yes we really need to get the players back in action so they can start working again”
  13. Looking at the BBC website, a good article on how we were too slow as a country and will be paying the price now for a long time. ” Even with a comprehensive contact tracing programme in place, Prof Sridhar said physical distancing would be with us for a long time. She said: "I think we're going to have to alter our behaviour in terms of having mass gatherings, concerts for the next year, year and a half until we know more about this” People need to get it out their heads that we will be watching football for the next year or so.
  14. I think our government plan is to let this run for the next year or so, let people die in one big phase like someone above said. Rather than say Spain’s idea of a total lockdown for weeks on end to try and get rid of it, then keep all borders closed. Theres no way we will see it magically disappear here with our current “lockdown”
  15. Interesting listen if you can get hold of it. Basically says there is little chance of the season starting before Jan, the FA etc can’t justify 100k tests when it’s needed for people who are actually important like the NHS, and the plan is to do 3 up from each division, No one goes down then the next season have more relegations.
  16. One of the main issues with me is and it sums how pathetic it is all is, With football , blokes who want to have a punch up etc end up getting whacked by the police no questions asked A killer pandemic is happening and people are buying cushions from b and m with nothing being done.
  17. I personally think it’s a complete lack of respect for the government , police etc, crossed with a Chronic under funding of the police/NHS. If you took the Spanish police and army, stuck them over here and let people carry on buying hot tubs they would soon be screaming human rights when they are getting hit With a baton. The worst in this country is a telling off and a £30 fine
  18. Questionable? People are going to the range to buy hot tubs, Greggs is reopening. None of that is actually needed is it? This is no way an actual lockdown.
  19. The lockdown is already being broken as the British public are pathetic, it hasn’t even been a proper lockdown. Take Spain For example, kids are finally allowed out the house for the first time for 6 weeks for a massive hour a day.
  20. An actual lockdown for a start, prepping PPE when it was clear it would spread, not allowing mass events like Cheltenham I mean that’s just 3 out of many, shops like Greggs McDonald’s all the diy chains are starting to reopen, we arnt on a lockdown at all.
  21. Seeing as most of Europe has cancelled football and our government is pushing for it to come back, while on Track for the worst death rate in Europe I think that is telling.
  22. That is absolutely disgusting and completely money driven.
  23. I see football in France has been suspended even if it would be behind closed doors, yet for some reason people in this country are desperate to watch it and the clubs are money driven instead of trying to save people’s lives. Even FIFA’s chief doctor is advising against it Fifa's chief doctor has warned against restarting the interrupted 2019-20 campaign and suggested governing bodies prepare for action next season instead. "There is a risk and it is not a risk that has small consequences," continued D'Hooghe. "It can have consequences of life and death and that is why I am so careful and I ask everyone to be very careful before deciding to play again. "I speak as a medical doctor, I don't have to speak as an organiser of matches, but for the moment from my medical standpoint I would be very sceptical."
  24. One rare positive of all this pandemic would be rovers going bust,
