Lack of communication from the club on this lad is very poor, assuming that's a trial. what a waste of a young hungry player, they might seem to be for us now in the likes of Bell, Conway, Benarous and Scott but talented young lads don't grow on trees. good luck to the lad if he goes to Derry, reckon he'll have a solid career

All I'm saying is without Bristol City fans there is no Bristol City. Without an owner there is still a Bristol City

Bet we seem an attractive prospect with what former Saints academy man Scott is doing, reckon the agent fancies a repeat of that. I'd be pleased with this

Cheers guys, though that was a very engaging meeting. Thanks for @shahanshahan, and thank you @Blagdon Mike for the details. I look forward to attending this sort of meeting again.

Emailed the handle given above, @shahanshahan is this all you'll need to do to be invited to the meeting, or will I need to give membership details, etc.

Calm down.
He’s done well in L2 then L1, which suggests he might make it.
No one is suggesting anything of the sort.
Don't know if 'calm down' is the right response to his question, i'm also intrigued what the fuss is about. Not in a way intended to criticise Cundy, but genuine interest as I've only seen him in 2 pre-seasoners. Beckanbauer would be nice

Knight-Lebel seems a good prospect to be consistently starting at his age in that team, also, no sign of Idehen, any idea when he might feature?

Bit of a mental way of looking at things imo. If you make a mistake you can do **** all or correct it.
True, but does that excuse the mistake?

I generally like playing youngsters but I was worried seeing Towler and Benarous in the side when we had Atkinson and Massengo or even Bakinson as options.
He got it right 2nd half though.
Yeah I'm very similar to you in this, its refreshing, but sometimes refreshing isn't what you need when you have a talent like Massengo on the bench

Correcting errors in team selection is the sign of a good manager.
Have you ever managed an actual football team? You know with humans playing as opposed to a computer game? Whether their male / female young or old they have good and bad days. Having the honesty and decisiveness to see what's happening and change it is possibly the clearest sign of a good manager
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, but I think starting Towler and Benarous over Massengo is not something a manager who can take credit for a good win should do. Although I agree recovering from this mistake was good from Nige, why was it necessary to have to do it? Having little obvious mistakes to recover from is my sign of a good manager. And yes I have for the record.

So he can take credit then?
For correcting his mistake yes, but as he made said mistake, his part in the win is slightly tarnished to me.

Thats's if he plays, seems we're keeping a ferrari in the garage with HNM, and when we've given Vauxhalls a go it seems bizarre he's not a leading player for us. Technically, him Scott and maybe James are on a different level.

dont think he can take much credit for that win, given his selection, which put us in a shit place to go in to halftime, but glad to see he corrected it.

Fairly obvious, Nige is so stuck up on having one of his strikers being a 'physical / aerial presence' ad even though the one contracted to the club wins about one header in every 20, he insists on playing with that ethos, and he simply has no alternatives to Martin

Sent a steward to the shops which was pretty funny, but agree with other when i say h's not welcome back at the Gate as far as im concerned.

Champagne moment for sure. Champ mentality already installed.

Technically the lad is excellent so its no surprise this is an area he thrives in. Work on his composure a touch and with more experience and his natural ability, i don't see a reason he can't be a key man for us for years to come

Taken his fair share of slating, whcih truthfully, has been largely deserved. We need to have clear ideas of where a player like COD goes with us. If he's floating around the squad, unsure of his position and part of irregular rotation I'd expect him to start annoying a few on here again. If given a run in this side though, he should hold his place down and start performing in the way it looked like he might when we first signed him.

Massengo needs to be played further forward, he's physical enough, but a bit too sloppy to be in contested midfield battles. However, his dribbling skill and ability to create space is maybe the best in the league.
Bakinson undoubtedly has talent and can pick classy passes, but his performances need to improve to keep in the X11. Calls for him to be sold are too far though, he will come good I expect.

Fake news, we have been drawing for 33 minutes of his career.

my bad, we've never been losing though!

We've been winning a game of football in every minute Ayman Benarous is playing

He started off really well but was one of those keepers who was brilliant while confident but once he made an error it would usually be followed by another. Also tended to try and blame others when he made a mistake - I remember this happening at Wolves where he let in a late soft goal which he should have gathered then tried to blame Wilbraham, he was close to getting punched in that moment.
We don't talk about 2-1 defeats to wolves on here

And yet killed another
Justin Fashanu is a different story

Love your ambition, but we need a sense of realism, I'd be content with a top half finish next season, but can sort of see where you're coming from. We need to go up in the next few seasons, or we won't in the next 30 years for me. It's a weak division, so can see some curveball promotions coming in the not so distant future, but please don't make this the expectation at the club.
