  1. Sadly I wouldnt base the current situation just on hospitalised cases (Although my understanding is the BRI is creaking capacity wise) From over 50000 deaths , only 8000 or so have been in hospital. Personally I just cannot see any justification for any non essential activity of any sort when lives are at risk
  2. Understand what you’re saying but it’s / the subject is not as simple as ‘if you’re concerned don’t go’ Yes , you can do that and eliminate the direct risk but surely the point / question is Does allowing fans back risk spreading the virus ? (The answer , to whatever degree has to be yes) so What is the level of risk (To everyone , not particularly those attending) (Can it be accurately predicted ?) and is that risk acceptable ? Spreading the virus would create danger and risk for everyone of us , particularly the most vulnerable , most of whom may never have set foot in a football ground Just my personal view
  3. Other countries or only a tiny few have had our fatality numbers or level of infection / numbers
  4. Ahhhhhh .......the old ‘Alex Ferguson one’... ? Manager loses first game ................compare to Sir Alex Ferguson...... Yep that’s it ......... ??
  5. Looks like the local Priest Hooefully thee to read them their last rites
  6. What a good job John Coleman does at Accrington - Sort if manager the Sags should be trying to tempt away (Though I doubt he’d switch)
  7. Sorry Amend that Not only was it the wind , nut it was raining in his face too Nothing to see here - Sags being robbed by the November weather Blame Michael Fish I say
  8. Whilst I’m genuinely pleased you feel assured , and in many ways it’s only right that you can make your individual decision about risk v consequence ( Id just point out that the Virus has struck in just about every environment including in numerous clubs where strict protocols and testing are taking place - In simple terms , when people circulate the virus spreads) But Its not just your own health and life you are risking (To whatever degree) it’s others too And there lies the overriding issue for me Good luck and sympathies with your condition Phant ,
  9. So you are telling me , guaranteeing in fact , that there will be no spread of the virus (Not any) by crowds attending football matches ? My ‘ head is out the sand ‘ thanks’, I’m also alive to the fact , for example , that fans also have to travel to the area and ground How many lives lost to this Virus and how many projected ? So you , and others, want to try and bully / force the authorities into a gamble (However small any perceived risk) with peoples lives because people demand their right to see their side live. Ok then Sorry , I’m a million miles from your thinking - And IIRC you were having to shield during the first wave. Im sympathetic with that, as I am having too also , but I am then even more astounded that you are such a strong advocate of a return now
  10. What a complete bufoon Personally , Id like to see you and your 7 family members transferred to a assigned enclosed area / town where you can ignore the harmless CoVid and behave how you wish , with other like minded and selfish tyoes No NHS facilities - you get on with it , catch it , on your own
  11. Sorry OP but I lost interest at ‘So far out his depth’ Theres a number of ways of describing a player that you are not convinced by , not sure about , or even don’t think is up to Championship Level (Should always add at the moment for a younger player) ‘So far out his depth’ is a ridiculous and disrespectful description
  12. My first thought Max As a woman , would you be with a cheat who then even as much as lays a finger on you...... And If I saw him do it , Id rip his throat out Despicable
  13. If it helps I don’t think Chris Hughton , (if that’s who you allude to), would have got us up this season , especially with the current injury Tsunami Give the bloke a chance , he’s only just into double figure of games
  14. Think it will continue unless their are rakes of positive tests I think they’ll (Govt) take the view that the minimal risk of professional footballers of spreading the virus to any impact I’ve degree is worth it compared to the pleasure / distraction they are providing for millions
  15. Agree Politics is nothing to do with it Id love to see some of the critics in charge Massive pressure from every angle , everyone with a different want and agenda Lives v the collapse of the economy and numerous other significant effects on the functionality of life Hundreds of difficult decisions to be made every day Not sure how much more difficult it could be for any government tbh
  16. I’ve stayed away from the politics of the COVID discussions Dave but in essence just about every country has found that lockdowns are the only answer to stemming or slowing the increases Im no scientist , but what then concerns me , is that as soon as any lockdown is eased the spread increases again - (Not helped by an element of complete ********* that can’t behave) it appears to be very difficult for countries or regions to escape their dose of pain. A horrendously difficult situation, and the thousands of difficult decisions , for any government and their advisors
  17. It’s been revealed that they are expecting 88000 ! deaths over the winter and we are actually higher than that projected increase estimate atm France are saying the second wave is worse than their first Accepting business and so so many aspects of life desperately need to get going , but I personally don’t think that now is a point to ‘get back on with life’
  18. I think that ‘Meader’ is possibly the creator of that literary masterpiece
