Agree , bizarre But , Can I just record in advance , that when I take the exit door , I would herebyrequest that HM Government grant a paid Bank Holiday of 1 months duration , to all Bristol City followers A period in which they should crack on , and enjoy their unexpected extra free time ! -

How are people ‘forced’ to go to football matches ? If you turn on any media , you will feel guilty , that you are not dressed all in black with head bowed Personally , I don’t want that for a prolonged period , I really don’t think it’s healthy -

This is extremely sad news , and I had great respect for Queen Elizabeth in particular, and although not a great ‘Royalist’ , I like tradition But an enforced 10 days of mourning is , in my personal opinion , not what is needed Many people are finding life difficult post co-vid , and with the cost of living I won’t be alone in having lost loved ones in difficult circumstances and the deep sadness that brings. Many will find the overt mourning across all media , difficult , merely rekindling sadness I have a personal view that , as when anyone passes, we should have a balance of respect , mourning , and also a celebration of their life. Continuing with ‘normal’ life , at least in part , is not , in any way , disrespectful There are many ways of showing respect I can fully understand protocols and appropriate respect immediately post her passing , and for her funeral but a prolonged period of anyone in the media frightened to even mention sport , or normal life , in case they are seen as disrespectful isn’t right IMHO I think togetherness and some aspects of normality actually helps many people at these times , RIP Ma’am- 1224 replies

Danny Wilson was City's last 'proper' manager - discuss.

If you are an accountant I suggest you look a bit further at his spending on clubs in the bag ...... Include the signing on fees , the soaring wages and total wage bill.... doubled ? He thought he was far better than he is , Or was and had far higher opinion of his own ability than he did of others who are leagues ahead of him managerially We’ve had worse , but for the opportunities he was afforded he’d be looking at the wrong end of the table in my list of best managers here Him and the snake blew the best opportunities we had at this level in my lifetime -

Said this previously , totally agree with you Id have liked SL to have assembled the players the following morning after Plymouth and told them , anyone who wanted out to speak up and put it in writing and he would ensure it happened ASAP as Gary Johnson wasn’t going anywhere He’d earned that IMHO -
And how much game time he sees here, and more importantly whether he thinks he will get starts looking forward In reverse he needs to keep his standard to its current level

Have to confess Phil , I like to think my spelling / English isn’t bad but I’ve learnt something from the correction ? - I would have ignorantly made the same error

Excellent posts * If you filled your trousers in front of 5’7 Gary Johnson , you’d have bitterness for your humiliation too ! Mr Robinson and Ian Gay both known of by many supporters , but for reasons I wouldn’t want to be -

I was going to say - and John Ward , often overlooked and doesn’t get the praise he should -
Guess they will argue , the logic that , as it’s in your hands , an opponent can’t play the ball so as such the ball isn’t in play and any unnecessary in distribution / restarting the game is ‘ time wasting’ ?? Have to say it is really annoying and needs stamping out

Listened to Paul Barber the other day being asked about all aspects Brighton He said the most important thing they did was their training centre / facilities One thing SL should have listened to Danny Wilson about

Shame about virtually all the other 50 odd eh Id call that severe clutching at straws tbh If by some miracle make the Premier League , I don’t think it will be down to Johnson in any way shape or form Weimann very good buy , Bentley very good , JD potentially Just a shame he couldn’t get much out of them and it’s required a decent manager to do so -

Did he ? Really ? You're not an accountant clearly He didn’t do ‘well’ in the Championship either What did he achieve ? I’ll tell ya He inherited a slim quad with some excellent players , four of whom went onto Premier League Football He was allowed to enhance that squad with Tomlin & Co .... ‘saved us from relegation’ (If you believe so) and 18 months later , despite being indulged in various new acquisitions including Tammy and Tomlin on a permanent etc , we avoided releagation in the penultimate game with a surprise win at promoted Brighton What followed was an indulgent real life game of football manager , acquiring , and discarding player after player and constantly tinkering with selections , formations and tactics ...........and talking complete b******** Once Cotts players had been sold or discarded , he was lost , it was a one way road The result - one of the most unbalanced ,largest , demotivated , certainly the most expensive , squads we’ve ever had if not THE He also , together with £500 p.a Swiss Tony left us with one hell of a financial mess Oh yes , .......he did really well -
You would think he will get game time too , having been cut short last time , as they surely will want to have a look at him before WC Might actually get him match mins , give him another lift / boost , and get him nicely up and running for us ! ??

I’m not sure the story or even exactly what the injury was , where and when occurred , or whether it was a problem that had developed , but I thought I remember somebody posting on here (Fevs ?) that the Ghana FA had behaved well ,recognised an injury and pulled him out etc (paraphrased)
