I posted last year and said the kids we have just are not good enough for this level. Got shot down but has anything changed - No not for me. Not one of them is doing anything in the first team. It’s time we had a good look at the academy and maybe even follow the Brentford model and scrap it and just have a B Tram. Of the current crop the best we have is Seymenyo who can’t score for toffee. Edwards I like but no where near the first team. Then - Scott will never score a goal if he plays 20 games. Needs 2 year on loan in L1 then we will see. Bakinson no manger likes him due to work rate HNM again another who will never score a goal for the club O’Leary never will make the first team Bell - to light weight. Pearson - where did he go? The list goes on. Will any of them actually become a first team player for us? Before every jumps in. Think about we can not win a game in the last 12 months. We had to clear out so much crap and deadwood. They have all had some game time and none them are really what I would call a first team player (Scott won’t start Friday and won’t see him start again) It’s time to take a look at these kids and think why we only produce players for L1/2 standard. The days of Bryan,Booby and Kelly look like they are a long way off at the moment. I know this won’t be popular as everyone loves the kids but I just don’t see it. They are as much of the problem as the recruitment team we have.

It’s not just the two games this season it’s the previous 20 as well

Slowest front six in the championship. Lucky if they get 15 goals plus between them. Midfield 2 are not mobile enough. Scott & Palmer in the same side is a mistake. We have better players on the bench or not even in the squad. No chance of anything other than a defeat. We need a major rethink or we are in deep trouble

I thought someone would want to post something. 1 in 25 - Yes he’s proved me wrong.... Maybe he’s that 3 a season striker we’ve been looking for... Have not posted for the last 6 or so games on the subject as thought we had all finally agreed ‘I was right’.... But one more time, I guess it would not hurt. Did not want to tell you so but I told you so... Great win though and also let me tell you I was screaming when he put it in.

What don’t you understand about if you pick a best 11 between the 3 clubs we only get 2 players in it if we are lucky. Hence making the point the other 2 teams have better players. Does that make sense?

If you pick an 11 between the 3 teams we would be lucky to get 2 into the 11. Bentley but Woodman is pretty good And 1 of the 2 centre backs. That says why we are not a top 6 club With a better manager we would be in a much closer position but for me still not quiet there. Ultimately it’s about players. The better players the better team.

Again thanks for the feedback. I will help one last time. Its a forum and we share our thoughts. There are no ‘winners’ or losers. Thoughts are processed in the brain using your knowledge, experience and intelligence. Then in this case put into words on the forum. You may wish to contribute to the debate and you are more then welcome to do so. Also note - I am not the one using ‘Massive Juvenile’ letters. The question really is why can’t we produce players that will score from midfield. When I say midfield I mean not the front 2. Seymenyo, Massengo, Bakinson all look technically good but I wager none of them score this season. That’s a big statement but they just dont look like they know where the net is. They can’t be coached well enough and or maybe they are not as good as people think they are. They are all attacking midfield players and yet never look like scoring. That’s a problem for me. They need to get minimum 6 a season. None of them are physical enough to stamp authority on the game at this point in there career. So do they look neat and tidy yes. Will they improve yes but will they improve enough to be here this time next season not so sure. Would they be in the team if everyone was fit? Don’t think so. That would mean we have no one from the academy except Vyner near the first team and he is not really a kid anymore. So for all the praise of the academy set up not sure it’s as good as some would say. Edwards does look like an exciting player that for me looks like he could be a player that holds done a first team place ‘now’ we don’t have another player in the squad that can run at players like him. We all want the kids to come through but they have got to be good enough. Its not about potential it’s about ‘now’ and winning games. I am not anti players young or old. But I will say it as I see it and if that means not always being positive for the sake of it then I will say it.

When people abuse people on here - 1. I don’t like it. 2. I like to remind them that other people’s opinions are as important and valid as theirs. 3.Other people’s opinions even if different can also be right.

I think he has improved this season. But in a front three you have got to score otherwise we try someone else. Same goes for a Fammy and Wells. They have to contribute goals. Its not all his fault. The midfield create so few opportunities. But watching him he never looks like scoring. Maybe it’s the tactics or maybe it’s poor coaching. Either way he is not improving that side of his game. Also everyone says about his pace. You never really see that in the games. He comes inside a lot from deep positions and can beat his man. But I have never seen him beat his man on the outside and go to the byline. I have seen Edwards do it twice in 15 mins of football. I like he but I want to see goals or maybe he ain’t as good as the hype.

That’s 26 games and counting....

But a right one... Next time perhaps don’t be to quick to dismiss other people’s opinions. They just might remind you that they were right. Did I mention I was right. Don’t like to say I told you so, but I told you so.... Also how is the reading up on ‘Strikers’ going ? Again I was right Sorry I keep having to say I am right... Obviously seems to erk you a bit. Like I said, don’t dismiss other people’s opinions to quickly otherwise they will keep telling you they are right, when there right.

Lets up tonight is the night he proves me wrong. I hope so. Never a better chance. Scored a great goal against Millwall and against one of the poorer teams. I am sure everyone will let me know.
