He needs to be ‘near’ Williams and James as they are the current bench mark. Agree both not fit enough that’s why we need to get one more midfielder who can compete with those two. Can he compete - No. Can he improve - No. Watched enough of him to know he does not come up to scratch and he never will. Simple if he plays are we weaker ? - Yes League 1 player - get rid

Why? Clearly a player that won’t get anywhere the first team next season. League 1 player. Never put in the effort for this level. Scored a goal in the week but that’s it. Gives the ball away to much, never gets a tackle in. Does not track back. Lacks effort. We have all said it week in week out and that’s because it’s what we see week in week out when he plays. Score a goal and all of a sudden he’s contract renewed and people are saying he is a half decent player. Look at Scott and Beneraus as a bench mark - effort, skill, tracking back, tackling… He is no where near them. Compare him to Williams - No where near him. Compare to James - No where near him Reality check please. Should have been to moving him on in the summer.

Both look great tonight after pretty good games against Blackburn. They both look like they can be in around the team this season. If Seymenyo could get some consistency and add a few goals then add Tanner and Atkinson who continue to develop we could have a decent bunch to build a few more senior players around. Also I think you can put HNM & Bakinson into perspective. The 2 kids look way in-front of both of them in terms of both ability and potential. I know It’s not popular re HNM. I won’t him to do well but just can see how he impacts the game enough.

Have you watched him play. He scored agreed you can’t take that away from him. But he is a passenger - as soon as James fit he is nowhere the team. won’t even be in the squad come January. Bakinson again offers nothing going forward or defence. He’s tackling is appalling no effort. Never near he’s man. The 2 young kids are showing up for what he is. It’s like playing with 10 men

Bakunin is not good enough at this level. Bored of saying it. Does not effect the game either going forward or defending. Weak in the tackle does not track back and rarely threatens going forward. Some people are saying he had a ‘good’ game today - nonsense. Name one good thing he done. Get rid as soon as January comes. As for Massengo it’s a bit harder. Younger player and is improving. My question is do he impact the game - at the moment for me no. So although I do want him to get there I am not sure again he is worth his place unless he starts to impact the game. Williams and James are the bench mark and both are well short for me. Both show we need to sign another midfielder in Jan even if on loan. When you listen you will hear that is pretty clear Nige won’t be back and that RG is not even talking to him. I hope it’s not down completely to his health being so poor and he is seriously ill. Reading between the lines sounds like it will be Nige Decision not to come back.

Just listened back to the interview. There is no way Nige is coming back. I would suggest from his answers he is hardly speaking to him. How could he not have not got any of the answers if he has spoken to him. He is reacting to questions rather than stating the situation and that can only come from no knowing the answers. Give it 2 weeks and I think we will get an announcement that says - left by mutual consent. New manager - another internal no doubt to the summer to save money.

For me as much as I wanted NP I think its time we accessed where we are. He now has the international break to regroup and he should have almost a fully fit squad. Less than 6 points from the next six games then for me it’s the right time to change. Lose to Derby and Hull it would almost be the final straw. A new manager would get a few games to access the squad and then he needs to be able to bring in at least 5 maybe loans if we have no money. If we don’t make the change, don’t get a minimum of 6 points from the 6 games and we dont make 5 signings even if loan the I think we will be doomed to relegation. I blame a mixture of NP and the board for this. Holden and Ashton have gone so let’s stopping blaming them. We really are in a mess but the buck does stop with the manager when results are as bad as they are. I hope he turns it around but at the moment I just don’t see where the wins are coming from.

Just watching Spurs first game under Conte. 3-1 up after 30 mins. But just looking at the shape it’s strikes me we could just copy him. Decent goal keeper - Tick 3 at the back - Atkinson, Kalas and Baker - Tick 2 Holding midfielders - Williams & HNM - Tick 2 High up Fall backs - Pring & Taner - Half a Tick both have the energy and pace but sure about quality. 2 mobile wide front players who can tuck in - Wieman and Seymenyo - Tick Also Scott possibly. 1 Centre forward - Wells - Tick Pace in the team - Tick Energy - Tick If we stick with the shape we would need at least a Striker, Winger and even maybe a central defender to cover injuries. Would at least be entertaining to watch and looks better than some of the formation and players we have had in Looks like it would be more solid and also be built to play on the break.

As a minimum we need 3 Need a Left back - Pring can cover and also play wide. Would move JD on if can he can’t defend. Would give better balance to squad and allow players to cover elsewhere. Need a striker - only have 2 at the club mistake to not get someone in the summer. Need a midfielder - James, HNM & Williams can’t play every game and no one else good enough. If we could I would like to see a winger in as well.

After watching team stumble from win to loss and then to loss again and a again. Nigel job looks easy to me and I think he is about 3 weeks from putting our best 11. You could argue James could get a spot in midfield. Scott maybe there on promise rather than form. outside of that I don’t think there is actually many options for Nig For me the question is it good enough to stay up? For me might just might scrape 45/5O points so yes. For the bench I have just picked from the squad that IMO are good enough to make a bench for a championship team. One or two injuries and it all falls apart quickly. If we don’t make at least 4 signings in Jan then a relegation battle looks difficult to avoid. we desperately need a left back, midfielder and striker to give the squad better balance, but we need players who can start not just take a place on the bench we have to many of them already. Yes very sure. We are staring a relegation fight if we don’t recruit. Give it another 6 games and the table will show us where we are. I will be amazed if we are more than 3 or 4 points above the team in the last relegation place then hopefully we will all release where we are. We are short of players in few roles which is causing problems in selections and in substitutions. Like I said we don’t really have anyone to come back from injury so with one or two more injuries the squad looks wafer thin at best.

As we start to move towards the window in January it’s clear the squad is to light to sustain a season of championship football. Players coming back won’t help us this year we just don’t have any. Williams will help as will Seyemyo but that’s it. Not getting a few loans in the summer is costing us now and it looks a bad decision now as it did then. We are short at least 4 to give us a chance of being not just competitive but staying up. Left back - I don’t think we have one at the club. Prefer Pring as an option in midfield and JD is just not up to it. Holding midfielder - James is to good and important to play that role same for Massengo they need to play further forward. Also we need to allow our fullbacks to get further forward and even dare i say overlap. Striker - goes without saying. Last night we ended without one the pitch and that played a big part in Forest playing so far forward as not much to worry them about defending. winger - we need someone who can carry the ball with pace and take us up the pitch and also push the opposition back. An Albert type player someone who actually has pace and can take on a fullback. Could have written this in the summer and it’s even more obvious now so I’m not calming to be a football genius. But if most of the supporters can see it then not sure why the manager and the club can’t - I hope they do. Palmer, Simpson, Bakinson and King add very little or nothing to the team so please move them on could also throw in COD but still need a few bodies. If we don’t make these signings in January loan or perm then pretty sure we are going to finish in the bottom six if not lower.

Basically pretty much the same combinations Not sure why Bakinson gets a games and Wells doesn’t. Everyone has wells in their teams not sure why we can all see that but Nige doesn’t. But as a rule - No Martin No Bakinson No Palmer No COD No Vyner We need a striker, Midfielder and also a central defender (cover Baker) in the window and maybe move 1 or 2 from above on.

Vyner is 24 so there is a gap of say 5 years where we have produced 1 player - Kelly. So that’s a good return for say 20m ? Let’s just look at the facts not your optimistic view of the future. Scott will play in the Prem - Based on what? I have watched him twice and again the hype vs the reality- Let’s see if he is in the starting line up Friday - I will say now he want. He is only playing because we are so poor at the moment. We are bigging up these kids up before they even look like getting into a bottom three Championship club. TM, Bakinson and HNM all brought in for what maybe 4m - 7m difficult to say. Gone through our youth system all be it later on and how many started this season - None Nurse - Sold Moreton - Trying to off load Bell/Conway - will prob go out on loan Scott - Will struggle to make the bench after next 3 games. Pring - Can’t get a game and JD is not firing at the moment so never likely to play unless JD injured again. Jenah - will prob go out on loan if we get a striker in. Person - not sure what happened to him again not good enough. O’Leary never make a championship keeper always be no 2 - L1 at best. If I am so wrong or wide if the mark where are they ? I did say it won’t be popular it feed up hearing about all these great kids. Maybe at L1 but not the Championship that’s for sure.

But probably right..... For the record I thought bobby looked like a talent and someone who could play at a higher level. Also liked Bryan. Current crop at best a load of L1 players which might be helpful next year if we don’t sort out this mess.
